Interesting Kev - tyre make hadn't even crossed my mind. I've got KU31's on there at the moment and I must say am pretty impressed with them, especially given their cost. One thing I have noticed with these Oz's - makes my standard rear brakes look like bottle tops  Good to see the new MO's are lighter. I really like mine, but they are heavy as hell, and in 16" I have less tyre choice.
-
Here you go Phil - it's 55mm, carbon fibre effect with M582 written on the back. If you have got one that would be great - cheapest I've found so far was £15 plus postage
-
Bump for some very nice wheels. I have a set of 7.5x16 in ET30 for my G60, and I've had a lot of comments about how well they suit the car. The main issue is weight - so good to hear they have made some progress there. Brake clearance was excellent already - I fit 315mm AP disks and Porka callipers behind mine with room to spare.

For replacing the heating elements I used an aftermarket self adhesive 12V heating foil. If you search for a company called Conrad electronics online, they are uk based. Go to their search and put in "Heating foil 100x65 mm pair" and you should go straight to the page. With mine they heat the central portion of the glass, which is good enough for me. They do make a larger one "Heating foil 130x70 mm pair" but it uses more power, and I didn't want mine heating all the way to where the adhesive was holding them on to the frame. These bigger ones might work better with a resistor in series to lower the voltage and reduce the temperature rise a bit (even the small ones get hot).

Yep, I am a fan and am happy with how they look. I did however lose a centre cap today :censored: . Been a while since that has happened, so I think the silicone sealant will be come out for the remainder of them. Anybody know where I can get cheap centre caps

Cheers Dave. No, no ride height adjustment at all. The tyres on 16" were 45 profile, on the 17's they're 40 profile. Rolling circumference is pretty much the same (less than 1% difference) so the speedo is fine. 50mm is not a problem, about 99% of the time. I have to be slow over speed bumps and level crossings, but apart from that, not an issue. Actually the only other thing I can think of is poor visibility - I tend to be looking at most peoples number plates  No ther big chnage with the Oz's. Hasn't made it harsher (but I am running KW v1's already). I am getting some spacers though, as there is very little room between the wheels and coilies at the back. Hope that helps. Jonathan

Amazed at the difference... Oz Ultraleggera 7x17 16lb each Compomotive MO 7.5x16 21.8lb each Then there's the tyre difference of course - I am assuming a 205/45 R16 tyre weighs more a 205/40 R17 as there's less sidewall, so the difference may even be a bit more.
-
Keeping them for the moment, until I make my mind up about the Ultraleggeras, or might just keep them as winter wheels. These definately need a bit of spacing, especially on the back.
-
Thanks Phil :D - the backs need to come out slightly though. They're sitting too far in at the moment.
-
Fitted some new rims yesterday. Oz Ultraleggera 7x17, with Kumho KU31 205/40 r17 tyres. Can't believe how much lighter then my 16" Compomotive MO's they are. I checked on the web for wheel weights - each one is about 6lb lighter  . Does feel different when driving as well, much lighter feel to the steering. Also the offset is way too high. No rubbing but they are set too far in. Wheels spacers have been ordered :D Not too much, just enough to make sure they they are well away from the suspension.
-
Damn, you're good Andy - mine took ages  Where are you based Hewes, there might be someone nearby who can help?
-
Finally, it's clear and understand it :D thanks dukest. I've had a quick drive and haven't noticed any rubbing, however I think I'll try and source some hubcentric spacers. As you say, cosmetically it looks very different to how it did before. Hmmm, seems I can't get hubcentric spacers below 10mm, and only fancy pushing them out 5-7mm all round....
-
Just gone from my MO's (7.5x16", ET30) to a set of Oz Ultraleggeras (7x17", ET37). I'm no offset expert, but I can tell they are set further in than my MO's. I can just about get my fingers between the wheels and my coilies at the back, and am concerned about potential rubbing, and am thinking about spacers. How does the offset work for clearance on the inside edge of the wheels - is it a simple as a 7mm difference in this case (given the 7mm difference in offset), or is it more complicated given the wheels were different widths?? Any advice helpful guys...

Definately interested in one of the.... 2: RLTC6AL-Traction control + Launch Control (In Car wheel Slip adjuster + Launch activation) ...ones. Is the is true group buy Vince - do you need a few people committing to get prices sorted? -
Best people to check with if yo want to be a 100% certain are G-Werks. Just give them a bell on monday.

There are a couple in my build thread mate - try somewhere in the last 1/3 of it
-
Mines carbon with the fibreglass underneath (cheaper than the full carbon and only slightly heavier), and I just left it as it was. I didn't bother with heat proofing under mine, and it has not been a problem.
-
I had no problems with mine. Fit was pretty good - definately good enough. Am I as discerning as some of the people on here, probably not, but mine isn't a show car. I had mine fitted at Performance trim, and would recommend that route if at all possible. The only problem then is what to do with the old bonnet as it wont fit in a Corrado.
-
Have you opened up your switch to see what the problem is mate? There is a small spring loaded pin which sometimes comes loose. Could just be that that needs reseating?

Big thumbs up for nia573. Good communication, and quick delivery for the Halford Prefessional 1/4" wrench. Cheers Mike.

Hmm, that's odd, the Racelogic website mentions it has been fitted to some 4 cylinder engined cars (VX220 for example) so I am surprised if there is a problem. 4 Cylinder, not a problem :D[/quote:8ucxhslb] Good to hear Vince, and interesting what you say about the standard controller. I'd thought there was more functionality with the digital one, but I'm more keen on the standard one now. As we're in the group buy section, is there a discount if we get a number of people interested :norty: if so when do you need confirmations by Vince? -

Liking the look of Option 3 Vince... 3: RLTC6DIA-Traction Control + Launch Control ( In car Digital Display Adjuster) Is there any issue (extra cost, difficulty of install etc) with this being used on my G60 (currently has ABS)?
