  1. On page 6 of my build thread there are some pics... http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=34451&p=598965&hilit=amp#p598965
  2. I drilled small 1.5mm pilot holes to help the self tappers bite properly when I did mine. Worked a treat.
  3. If you want G60 specailists then head to G-Werks on John Mitchell Racing, both in Littlehampton and about an hours drive from you. Both are very well renowned and both specialise in the G60 engine. Many people have had good experiences with The Phirm (unfortunately I am not one of them) however they are not G60 experts.
  4. Been tdying up my had drive and found this - 353bhp at 8100rpm :luvlove: . Can't remember where I got it from so thought I would post it up on here just in case others haven't seen it.
  5. 3mm leds will work, but as mentioend they need to be fitted the right way round. The window switches had LED's in from the start (not bulbs) and they were rated at approx 2-3V. If you use 12v ones in these they wont work. The window ones are different as far as I am aware as they are non-dimmable on the headlight dimmer circuit. Basically they run of a different feed. Actually have a read through here - some of it has been covered before.... http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=17068&hilit=window+switch+led&start=60 There are a few other threads on it as well.
  6. You'll need 3mm ones. They'll also need to be 12V ones apart from the the window switches. Instead of 12v ones you can use the normal ones plus resistors but it gets a bit tight in some switches. I used Ebay, but Maplin also do them. If you can get diffuse ones, they spread the light more like the bulbs. Alternatively you can sand the top of normal domes ones flat and that diffuses the light slightly. The illumination in the switches (apart from the window ones) are bulbs rather than LED's. Obviously unlike bulbs the LED's can only be used one way round, so you'll need to make sure they are the right way round. A few people have done this so have a search and you'll get plenty of tips.
  7. Yes it will, but you may have to take the hinges off it (I did). Take loads of bubble wrap....
  8. Black carpets do come up for sale reasonably often - expect to pay about £40-50 for them. The headlining can be sprayed with fabric paint (I have done that). Takes loads to get good coverage (I used 3 cans), and I found it to not be hard wearing. It's fine until your mates go 'oooh look at that' and start rubbing it (weird mates). If I were to do it again I would just recover the headlining with either lightweight alcantara or some stretchy dark material.
  9. :( can't see it without signing up...
  10. My one from Mike at Performance Trim fitted fine first time. I must admit I didn't know they were adjustable left and right etc, I thought they it was just vertically adjustable.

    change a bulb??

It should definately light up. I did a conversion for someone once when they wanted the bulb replacing with a green LED light. Can't remember whether it was a 'wire cutters and soldering iron job' or not though (damn my failing memory  ).
  12. The bulbs are replacable, but need soldering (they are just 12v bulbs). You can also use LED's (either 12V rated or normal ones with suitable resistors) to change the colours, but remember, if you are moving away from green yo will need to remove the gren filter from within the switch.
  13. Saw a silver N reg VR6 on Colson Road in Loughten yesterday whilst visiting the missus. Come on, own up, you know who you are

    Stray plug

Yep, lambda sensor plug. Looks like it's seen better days too :(
  15. The DDI ones are great - a bit weird when you 1st fir them, but then you realise how bad the standard ones are.
  16. VR6 clutches get used when there is serious power going through it. I have one on mine, but the flywheel is a G60 one which has been lightened. Has the effect of making it rev easier. Standard fuel pump should be fine for most applications. For example my G60 is currently running nearly 250bhp at the flywheel (1.9l engine rebuild, 65mm pulley, etc etc), and I'm using the standard fuel pump with red top injectors and standard fuel pressure. Normal injectors will be fine up to around 210 at the flywheel, after which you'll need reds up until around 250. After than you either need new injectors or boost the fuel pressure.
  17. Earlies do not light up, but lates do. If it's late and it used to, then it's probably the contacts inside. They oxidise and basically no longer conduct. Take the switch apart and clean them (ther will be grease and green oxide on the copper contacts) and then reassemble. Usually gets them workign again.
  18. It should only open and bleed off boost if the ECU detects knock, assuming i) the ECU is fine, ii) the ISV is fine, iii) the knock sensor is fine and iV) all the wiring is fine. All big assumptions on G60's. The ISV's can be adjusted as well. There is a small allen key grub screw in the top when you take the hose off (it may well be covered by a yellow threadlock). You can adjust this so that when you blow through it the air flow is minimised - should only need a half twist or so if it's not been done before. However your first port of call should be the chip - any markings on it at all?

    DDI Dials

Thats OK. Yes, although its dials out and needles off (which makes realigning them good fun  ). Set aside a couple fo hours to do it properly, especially if you have never done anything like it before, and you'll be fine. I have a set on mine whih I did myself, so if I can do it it must be fairly easy  .
  20. Glader experts are G-Werks really - I (and a lot of others on here) will only use or recommend them. There's also quite a bit of love on here for John Mitchell Racing for G-lader work. As mentioned above Stomr are more in to rotrex than the original stuff...

    DDI Dials

Dub Design Industries in Canada (and he is happy to ship to the UK), or I believe they are being stocked by Demon Tweeks here in the UK now.
  22. Thanks, any ideas if that can be swapped over easily?
