    G60 Rebuild

I originally painted my rocker cover using the correct Acid Etch Primer that is supposed to be used for Alloy, then used a high temp gloss enamel to paint it. As soon as I put it on the head it chipped! Then I bolted it down and as soon as it started to tighten with VERY LITTLE pressure it all cracked and came off around the bolts and looked awful! If you've still got it in bits I really would recommend you took it to a powder coaters, cost £30 to do mine and is Sooooooo much better!!!!

    Porsche Rims

Yeah I could consider doing some (more like ALOT!) arch work to fit them!!!
  9. Cams are raelly personal preference. I've gone for a more extreme cam in mine with a 268/276 shrick cam. But then mine is modified on the more extreme side for a weekend car. It all depends on what you want to achieve.
  10. BIG Thanks to VR6 South For being an all round good guy and a great seller! - He knows what I mean!
  11. I've bought that much from the dealers over the last few years that I'm on first name terms with all of the parts dept and get a permanent discount of the maximum amount they can give on each part!!!! And they keep joking about me not having a Corrado and that I'm building one from scratch using spares from there!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I think they are - I made reference to the &R as that is waht i used.
  13. I think it depends on the thickness. But i looked into it when I bought my Porsche wheels. If you get the H&R Alloy adapters so you don't need to have any worries about stregth as they are exceedingly strong and TUV approved (as tehy have to be in germany!) But as you say tehya re expensive! The steel ones are significantly cheaper but you will have alot of downsides. - You will feel every bump in the road and your wheels if you go over a pothole you'll REALLY know about it. They are ALOT heavier so there must be mipacts on handling etc. I'd go with the alloy TUV Approved ones everytime. Lets face it you say you'd rather be screwing wheel bolts into steel but you're wheels are mabe of alloy and I would lay bets that your wheels would give up before the adapters
  14. My other one is the switches like g60dave But also one of my favourites was being (as far as I know) the first to smooth my wing mirrors!!!!
  15. When I cahnged the grill I put a small G60 badge on small metal bar below the grill instead of the large badge on the grill as can be seen in my picture below!!!!!
  16. It's nice that you've recieved the stuff you've ordered!
  17. I'm a member of the CCGB but not heard very much out of them much to be honest. Starting to wonder if it is really worth it. Unless somethign major changes this year I won;t be renewing!!!!
  18. If you think it's been discussed alot then it probably has. Best off using the search and you'll find umptine threads on this!!! Also: Welcome to the Forum!

    fk silverlines

Depends then if they are Silverlines or the Silverline X's Only the Silverline X's like mine are damper adjustable

    fk silverlines

I don't really think so as they take into account the weight of the engine and obviously there is a significant difference between VR and 16V weight
  22. I've driven one many years ago now! Damn Fast, Damn Scary, Damn Fun.
  23. Put it this way - she is alive and she runs well. But she's not going to run the way I want her to until it's run in and mapped! But it certainly seels like she has LOTS of potential!!!!
