  1. The bodywork on the 16V will be exactly the same as the VR Bodywork. Go with the mounts that are for the engine and suspensio setup you have: ie. the VR6 Top mounts I would suggest. The VR6 engine mounts are about the best setup anyway I believe as the OEM ones are pretty damn good. I must have misread as I thought you had a 16V - didn't read the bit about changing the engine and suspension setup to VR6
  2. But the bonrath ones were a "lowered" version. I personally, unless they have all changed the ranges stick with the OEM ones from VAG as I was recommended when I was looking by a number of "experts" to stick with them! They are more than up to the job, I've had no issues and I am quite well known for giving my car some stick!
  3. I found that in order to fit FK coilovers to my G60 I had to use standard top mounts as no others would fit!!!!
  4. Pics of under the bonnet will be up once I have stopped fiddling with it (phnar phnar!) and can get a chance to clean it up a little. But as a hint as to what it is like, the engine bay colour scheme now complements the rest of the car colour scheme!
  5. I'd stick with Standard. I have teh Rieger RS4 front bumper, a quite rare it seems set of side skirts, but then I had long deliberations about rear bumper and came to the conclusion that it really doesn't need one!
  6. I'm much liking my FK Silverline X's - Same as the Konigsports but made of stainless steel so don't corrode like the Konigsports
  7. They aren't too bad to fit as long as you get the proper Rieger GPS Plastic one and not the fibreglass imatations! Bit of a pain attaching to the inner wheel arch liners but thats it!
  8. Hhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmm...................... Don't get me started on this thread!!!! I'm sure once I finally get it all finished then I won't regret any of it. But at the moment.........................................
  9. The link points to this page *he says dribbling!*
  10. Sounds like the Voltage Regulator on the back of the alternator might have had it!"
  11. The trimsport ones are about the bulkiest you'll get. They must be about a 2.5 - 3" diameter
  12. That'd probably be 16VG60 - John Mitchell. He has a 16v G60 and he bores out the exhaust manifold for about £70 and then Milltek make the downpipes for him at a cost of £220. But TBH if you want a free flowing exhaust manifod wouldn't you be better off with a 4 Branch Manifold! Do you have a G60 8V or a 16V. If you have an 8V then I have a 4 Branch SS manifold for sale - if your interested!
  13. The loud pedal is off limits for 1500miles until its run in then mapped as remember it currently has a map for a 1.8 G60. It should all be plenty ready for the rolling road day in April!!!!!!!!
  14. Well the plate and gasket that blew have been replaced!! The fan has been freed up and it's running! I drove it home from teh garage very carefully!!! Obviosuly the engine is very tight at the moment so I can't tell you if it's quick or not and also I have for the time being removed the lead from my right foot! So this weekend I have a few jobs left to do on it on saturday, including the Phenolic Insulator that I have bought from Darren at G-werks. Then saturday night I'm off out with Stevemac to start runnign it in!! Watch this space folks..........................
  15. Nope - I've had mine on a year and still fine!
  16. :offtopic1:Not_Aircooled_or_Taxfree I think you've missed out an 'r' on your new strap line taken from the american MK5 GTI Advert
  17. Sounds like bent to me..... But I soo hope not! But you know - if the supercharger bracket is ok.................
  18. No the leading edge of the bonnet is higher and rounder on the late!
  19. Don't you have an early shape car?? If so I think they only do the CF Bonnet in late style
