Dealer only! About £40-£50 if I remember rightly
-
But I've found with Tomtom, if you buy a No Holes dash mount for a car telephone kit (about £20) then you can adapt it to fit the tomtom mount - well certainly for the ipaq version, not sure about the tomtom go. Looks so much better then as well as the mount fits next to the heater vent on the left!

So how much is my twin engined vr6 C gonna cost to build :)
Blue_Joe replied to double-6s's topic in Drivetrain
I can vouch for that - I worked out exactly what mine was coing to cost including all the sundries I would need for my engine rebuild. But I've spent a fortune extra on just little bits and pieces that alot of it I couldn't tell you what. And still it's not quite finished! -
Looks good except you can't read the website address!

I can't wait to afford a Sagaris

Cylinder head came off yesterday. Only Cylinder 4 valves have kissed the piston, slightly bending the valves, but the piston is absolutely fine - Finally some good luck in the whole affair. The head, cam etc are all being replaced by Racepower so that will be with them tomorrow and it's just a case of more waiting then for it to come back!

No they have a circlip holding them in I believe! But if all else fails use the big hammer!!!

Circlip pliers and a BIG hammer

CV Joints tend to start knocking when you turn the wheel while moving when they are on their way out. If it is that then you need to get it done fairly quickly! They aren't overly hard to do if you know what your doing! As to cost it depends on the model you have but parts wise about £60-70 for a CV Joint kit.
-
I'd definatly go for the TVR - Just make sure you get yourself FULL breakdown cover from AA or RAC as can have reliability issues!
-
Sounds like CV Joint???

I think alot of us just love superchargers! Hence why we own G60's - There is just something about them... I've "invested" too much in mine of late extracting as much power as possible all while keeping the G-Lader. I could have fitted a Massive Turbo and lall the rest with the amount I've spent, but then it wouldn't be a G60 anymore!
-
Fair enough - But as I say the suspension on a VR is different to that on the G60 due to the extra weight so I would say that you'd need to get new!
-
If you have the doner car why not transfer everything as the suspension is different on a VR due to the extra weight!
-
The best strut brace is actually the rear as the front is pretty stiff already. Also uprated anti roll bars. Finally for best handling I would say coilovers as opposed to ordinary lowering kit. I changed mine to coilovers and noticed a vast improvement!

The sump on the G60 can be a right Pain in the Proverbial!
-
And there is your answer!
-
Can you take a pic??
-
Sure it wasnt the sump gasket???

16v Mine is at 0bhp currently as still sat minus a cylinder head since the Camshaft siezed on the first start up knackering the cylinder head valves and camshaft! Racepower are currently in the process of replacing it for me as they held their hands up to it with no arguement! Can't fault them at all really! Well except for using a bearing cap off another cylinder head!
-
There are also a few of us G60 owners aiming to break the 300bhp barrier whilst still using the G60 Lump and charger
-
Hhhhhmmm Depending on when this happens I am def interested. Just a bit short at the mo. But next month or so will be fine!
-
I think mine has had far too many presents this year! Still for 2006 I'll get her running mid Jan mapped by end feb ready for the shows to start! I think I've been generous enough!!!

Looks like the heat shield for the cat. Personally I'd just cut it off and forget about it!
