No not yet! - Going to leave it alone until after christmas!!!!

Well I'm Gutted........ Got everything back in and finally all back in place ready to start the engine properly for the first time. We checked and triple checked everything!!!! Started the car and it seemed to start fine. Massive Joy!!!!!! Checked the Oil Pressure gauge - Perfect! Checked the air/fuel - Perfect! 30 seconds later we heard a horrible grinding noise and the engine stopped!!!!! OH SHIT! It seems the Cam has seized. Not sure of any extent of damage as yet, but the bottom end is turning over freely and we dont think any valves are bent. It has stripped the bottom part of the timing belt so that the crank will spin but the cam is seized tight. When the guys doing the engine were putting the head back together and the cam back in he snapped a bearing cap so he grinded another out to fit. But it seems he may have botched it as we think that may be what has done it. Fingers crossed no major damage. Might need to get the cam polished if any marks in it and just hoping no bent valves or other damage!!!! I'm not touching it until after christmas weeked. Spent alot of time on it of late and just want a rest from it and all the grief it's been giving me with one problem or another!!!!

Was working under the bonnet and disconnected the battery. But the doors were locked! I let go of the bonnet just as I realised what I was doing and now I'm locked out. Both doors are delocked and the boot lock doesn't work as in the key won;t turn it but it never has but never got around to fixing it as the central locking always did it for me!!!! How can I get in the car, or open the bonnet to reconnect the battery??????

It's always what pleases your own ears the most. I personally love my Infinity Kappa Perfect 12 -
But there has been massive hikes in prices for chroming of late as shortages of nickel I think that is used due to the Chinese buying it all up forced prices through the roof!
-
What about a C in the orange of the new ST - could be interesting!!!

Mine (not RM bolts!) when I had a load of engine bolts chromed cost twenty quid for 35 bolts!

New Caliper???? Fit Brembo Conversion!!!!!!

Definatly a group buy WELL WORTH getting in on!!!!!!! Especially for someone with a decent stereo setup!!! But you may need a bigger alternator to charge it! I have a red top in mine as I had 2 big amps (now down to one) and a 2.4 farad cap. It's soooo good where my car has been off the road for 4 months while the engine was out, I haven't charged the battery and yet have been farting around with turning the car over ALOT without the fuel supply just to pump oil and check pulleys..... And still after 2 weeks of that it still has loads of power! Finally at that price it's CHEAP - I paid £200 for mine 8 months ago with discount applied! Get your names down if I was you!

It is normal practice not to be able to change type of policy mid term. I'm putting mine on agreed value for the obvious reasons but I also have to wait for the existing policy to expire. Oh and I'm with Chris Knott

Mine isn't running (still) at the moment and it's doing my swede in and wish I never started this conversion! but everyday I park next to it and think to myself how it'll all be worth it and how much I love the look of it!!!!
-
Well I've used them in my new 2Ltr high power G60 conversion!
-
And remember to get the threads greased by them so they dont chrome the threads
-
Far better than standard!

Go for the inpros instead like in my signature!

There is certainly a couple of contenders for this prize! I'm not counting on reaching it, deep down I'm hoping, but it's one of those things that if you desperately try to break it you probably won't! So deep down I'm hoping but as long as all the effort gets a good result of torque, which is what I really want then I'll be more than happy!

Start by making sure the rest of the car can handle it! Brakes and suspension. I have FK Silverline X coilovers on mine.
