Been discussed many times but the best is the Seat Ibiza Cupra R Brembo Brake conversion. I have them on mine 305mm disks, 4 Pot Brembo Calipers, you also use the caliper carrier and bolts from the seat, but you have to cut them down by an inch. Then you need a set of brake hoses from Badger 5 for £50. I think the setup from Seat has gone skyrocketing up in price since they realised people were doing this. Was about £500 but I think its more like £800 now!!!!!

Mine is very loud, however as many people have commented - sounds fantastic! not sure how it's going to change with the new engine setup though. The boost return is that powerful on mine that when you rev the car while stationary that when you let off it bloes all the gravel out from under the car!!!!!

Paul strikes again!!! :lol: Do you ever have anything nice to say? The question wasn't do you like it but was what does yours sound like? As you haven't got a G60 you don't have to worry about it so perhaps opinions could be kept to yourself as some people like the sound of the G60 over VR's, R32's or whatever else others have!!! I think I'm in a strop like one that phat is probably in as well!!!!!!

Wouldn't expanding this to cover more than the Corrado then make it a general car forum as opposed to a Corrado forum therefore making it less appealing to the enthusiasts amongst us! Bit pointless I feel, better stick with Kevs idea and tootle over to a BMW enthusiasts forum where you;d be better served!

I have them in mine (DDI Ones) and they are good, look very nice. I have heard stories from others that have them fitted saying that after a year of them being fitted they are starting to fail though.

I havent got a pic but the starter motor will be a heavy cylindrical unit about 8cm in diameter and about 20cm long with a shaft sticking out of it with splines on the end. on the end with the shaft where the main body ends it will have 2 bolt holes one either side. Hope that helps and I'll try find a pic off tinternet!

On my G60 I had to put new longer negative lead on in order for it to fit the positive just fitted but I redid it anyway as was sorting all the wiring!

Thats quite amusing - all us G60 owners that are modifying to a large degree are throwing away G60 gears for VR and the VR modifiers are now doing the opposite and binning VR Ratios for G60! :lol: Perhaps we should start looking at a swap shop!

Best and cheapest for Redline MT90 is demon tweeks http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk This time round I've taken advice from oilman on here and gone with a different oil though as is apparently as good if not better (but at worst is same rating!) and cost less than the £15 per bottle + postage when you need 3 bottles!

I think it's quite common when you don't drive it for a while. I often have the same problem. Mines been off the road for months now and when I finally got it back together and then the cam shaft seized I was ready to scrap it! But I know that last time it was off the road and was being so difficult to get finished I said that I would sell it. I was certain I was going to sell it! Even my missus was trying to convince me not to as I would miss it (How she regrets that now!) But as soon as it was all back together and I got in it just for a quick spin before thinking of writing the advert and that idea went straight out the window. I generally have nice company cars (not at the mo- have a hire car Vectra Life - but nothing handles like a hire car!) last one a Saab 9-3 Top of the Range and a BMW on order at the moment, but still it doesn't come near driving the Rado. And I can;t even explain why but I know now that I will miss it if it went! So my advice is wait until the summer. Gives you time to be absolutely sure, at a time that you'll get the best price for it and the most exposure at the shows! And in the meantime drive it fairly regularly so you'll know what you'd be missing!!!!!!! Thats my advice!

For that you need to get it on a fixed value insurance policy, which means getting an independant assessment -
Whatever you do - Don't get the TSR Block as they use a diesel block so it has no oil squirters in it. Likely result of this is that the engine detonates as it can't cool the way it needs to. You can go for just a larger piston of 83mm or you can go to something like 1940cc with something like Henny's on here! I have managed to take mine to 2021cc but as far as I'm aware only Racepower motorsport know how to do this (where I had mine done!) and Jim's comment was that he was never going to do one again as they are to complex and trouble to build. We've had alsorts of dilemmas with mine. All now well on way to being sorted. But also you've got to think about the cost. Mine and Henny's cost a small fortune to do. I did mine because I specifically wanted to retain the G-Lader so it is a true G60 - however similar power can be produced through engine transplants such as 20v 1.8T and possibly cost you less. Believe me you wouldn't want to know the bill that has been accumulating for me to try and extract all this power!!!!!

I had to cut down 3 pipes to size - the heater matrix ones and I had to adapt the pipes going around the oil cooler as I have a separte oil cooler!

mo_527 If you want any help with looking for a G60 then I can help as I also live in Birmingham! The G60 is a fantastic motor providing you look after it! I would offer to let you drive mine but it is currently off the road with a major rebuild and modification and truth be told is no longer anything like a standard motor. Also being in birmingham I can introduce you to a couple of garages that can help with all aspects of the G60. My friends garage is EXTREMELY reasonable and he knows everything there is to know about G60's and all other VW's die to the fact he's rebuilt a G60 from scratch, he does alot of work on mine and other peoples VW's including currently building a VR6 Mk2 Golf. drop me a pm and I'll send my phone number to you!

They are available and price is pretty much the same wherever you get them from. I got mine from Awesome GTI. The only thing is that they are only available in LHD. However all the pipes are almost identical. I just had to cut some of them down due to some of the LHD ones are longer. Other than that they are spot on. Oh and there is a long wait time on them as they Samco don't have them on the shelf they have to be made to order. IIRC they are about £160

Depends on the offset but 17x8 or wider tend to rub alot! I have 17x7.5 and they do rub a bit on the rear so I have my coilovers set to almost as hard as they will go!
