For Sale: One Mk5 Golf - some assembly required
Blue_Joe replied to dinkus's topic in General Car Chat
Could you image putting that together??? It'd be the whole lego in a box scenario! You have the instructions that say you need for illustration 5432 (Gearbox Assembly!) 5xWasher D5, 5xBolt, 1x Gear G1. You'd spend 3 hours moving parts around that are all just in one big box digging for 1x Gear G1. Only for someone else to walk in look at the top of the box and say - "Is this the one your looking for??????" And no I don't play with Lego anymore. I spend far to long with the Corrado to have time for that!! -
Mines just started to go. Sunroof repair kit for me!

That sounds good to me fella!!!

One day I'll stop spending on the litlle fecker! On order now are - Moulded Sub Enclosure and Amp Rack. Losing all of my old kit in favour of just as good a setup up, without all the weight. Fiberglass install with light Amp and only the one sub reverse mounted. I want to keep a quality ice install but lose all the weight of my existing system to realise the full potential of the engine performance that I 'm building! I think the weight at the moment is one of my biggest downfalls. Just recieved my Genesis Profile 4 Ultra Amp Also on Order: 65mm toothed pulley kit conversion Lightened and Balanced Flywheel Paddle Clutch - Have a VR6 Clutch in at the moment and I seem to be ripping through it with current setup. Also recently added Inpro Front Lights All pics should be up next week sometime due to lack of camera after it slipped out of my missus' pocket whiel upside down on a pirate ship type ride at Drayton Manor. All sort of happened in slow motion as it shattered on the concrete below!!!

Does anyone have Genesis Profile 4 Ultra Manual pref as PDF
Blue_Joe replied to Blue_Joe's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
This one is only a few months old. I looked at the Prfile 4 one and there are a number of differences hence why a little keen on the proper manual. I'm hoping its not one of the effected ones. It's not that old, few months so we'll see. It's to suit a purpose at the moment and if it is then back on egay it will go when I've finished spending on everything else. As I'm waiting for the toothed pulley kit to arrive and just ordered a Lightened and Balanced Flywheel and paddle clutch, plus the moulded sub enclosure and the amp rack, plus this amp. It's been another expensive month for the Rado. I really must stop spending but that'll probably never happen -
Does anyone have Genesis Profile 4 Ultra Manual pref as PDF

Thanks mate but...... I know the website address, and being the sensible person that I am I looked at the download section along with other areas and you will notice if you look that the Prfile 4 ULTRA does not feature on there - Hence why I asked on here knowing that a few people have them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Just bought a Genesis Profile 4 Ultra off Egay. But as per egay, nothing came with it! Absolutely ZIP. Need a manual preferably as a PDF and perhaps even some guidance on setup for a set of Focals on the front and Infinity Perfect 12.1 at the rear!!!! Also is there anythign else that should have been with it that I need!
-
Oh!

Is yours red or blue illuminated Jim???

Kev, Will the Trimsport one still fit even with the amp rack and moulded sub box. I was looking at the Trimsport one but wanted to get all teh stereo in first to see if it would still fit! Saw one at GTI Trackshow that was identical for only £70

Using 1.9L diesel (MK2 or MK3 Golf) bottom end ??
Blue_Joe replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in Engine Bay
I believe TSR use the Diesel Van Block to do 2 Ltr conversions but not the best way -
Longlife all the way. Everyone knows the issue I had with Powerflow exhausts that just kept dissintegrating on my car, but the Longlife is fantastic quality. But as Kev said even with 3 boxes on mine it's still very loud! And as an interesting one the centre section of pipe from the SS 4 Branch manifold to the first baffle box has turned BRIGHT Blue from the heat! How mad is that! Sorry Dan we seem to be going :offtopic1:

If you want to change the ratios do what I did! 1st and 2nd (plus the opposing gears) and reverse out of a VR6 put into the G60 box. Much better setup than a G60 box!!! Cost me £50 for a VR6 gearbox that had blown the diff pin through the casing but the gears inside were like brand new!!! Then the cost of a rebuild putting the relevant VR6 gears into my box! And as good as Vince apparently is, I didn't use him. Just make sure you get a reputable rebuilder!!!

I found an IOU under mine. Just waiting to cash it in!!
-
It's Really easy. At the front of the subframe there is a sprung lever, if you pull that it will release the front of the seat. Then at the back remove the plastic guards over the runners, there is a little black rectangular clip holding it on. Once they are off just simply tilt the seat base back and slide the whole seat back and it's out.!!!!!! Simple as!

NEED PICS Those with Audioscape Amp Racks & Profile 4 Ul
Blue_Joe replied to Blue_Joe's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Just spoken to Gordon at Genesis and by putting the Profile Sub in I'm only going to see 1 or 2dB increase which is only just an audible increase so looks like 1 amp it is then! -
NEED PICS Those with Audioscape Amp Racks & Profile 4 Ul
Blue_Joe replied to Blue_Joe's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Ahhhhhhhh Kev thats what the change in the carpet piece is!!!!!!! I though it was a gap! Now I can't decided whether to get just a profile 4 Ultra and run my front Focal 6.5 Components and Perfect 12 from and run my rear fill 6x4 Lanzar Neos from the Headunit (High Power Alpine) Or use the Profile 4 Ultra to run the Fronts and Rear fill and use a Profile Sub to run the Perfect 12 Decisions Decisions
