i still have the 16v, but i decided i was done having a project car. so i am selling it off and using the money from that to put more into my new corrado. i figured after 2 years it was time to move on... =] -

how do it get that bad boy off? i finally traced it down to that being the problem. help me figure out how to get this thing off as soon as possible. driving where i live with no speedo is not a good thing. help me!
-
thanks guys! thats just what i needed to hear.
-
well would the aftermarket 2.0L 16v downpipe/exhaust manifold "header" fit onto my G60? because if it can, i would like to get that little extra power that it would give me.
-
i found it, the previous owner has spliced the line coming off of the low pressure sensor for some reason and it was a bad connection. problem solved! yay no more constant beep.
-
i have a brand new header on my 2.0L 16v corrado engine. i was wondering if that would fit on my G60? i just thought i would ask.

the MFA is reading fine for the temp. so it must be either a bad sensor or a wire with a bad connection somewhere. i think it is probably the wire only because of when hitting bumps it stops for a bit. another thing i just noticed, i drove the car this morning to work and its around a 20 mile drive, the light/beep didnt go off for 95% of the drive. kind of odd...now i am curious if it has to do with the car being up to temp (warmed up)???

alright, so i ended up buying a corrado last night. this engine is quite nice. the charger only has 1,500 miles on it. it is a stage 4 Kompressor Canada charger, SNS chip etc. the only problem i have found is that the oil pressure light and the beeping will go on most of the time while driving. it only stops when i hit a bump or something that moves the car a little. i think that it is just a bad connection on a wire somewhere. i know it isnt anything mechanically because everything related to that sensor has been replaced. oil pump etc. let me know what you guys think. i am already tired of the beeping and i have only driven the car for maybe 3 hours total.

ah yes. i remember now. damn my cursed memory. the rears are adjustable if that helps. =P

there is a plate shock itself that can be moved down to another slot on the shock. you can adjust the height that way. the knob on the top is just for dampening. again, there is a clip on the large part of the shaft (the actual painted part of the shock) you can change which goove it is on to lower or lift where the spring sits on the shock itself. its kind of hard to explain, but you will see grooves under where the spring will sit on the shock. you can move the clip from the current position and lower it quite a bit.

Red=Fast replied to Red=Fast's topic in Engine Bay
SCORE! that would be rad to actually see a donation! lol. yeah, maybe you can come out to the US sometime and kcik it with me (corrado owners can stay with me for free as long as you arent some gross petifile). if you were to actually do something like that i am sure i could arrange a show of them for you. anyways, i will update you guys when i get another video out. there is a possibility i may be picking up another corrado in the next few weeks here. i would say that constitutes for another video or two... -

wow. you knwo of craigs brother...i grew up with all of those guys. the singer lived up my road and the guitarplayer deliveres my pizza. haha thats so awesome! are they pretty popular over there? yeah a lot of the vocals even sounds close to bjork. i still cannot believe the craigs brother thing...they are going on tour with yellowcard soon because their former guitar player is in that band and they are all good frineds now. also, have you heard craigs brothers new EP yet? its alright, a little different style. but the first 2 albums are so amazing. they are going to be making it big soon. -

i listen to almost anything except regge and country music. mostly metal/hardcore, hiphop, punk, and more. another thing about frou frou is that she works with bjork...now you will notice similarities between the two. =] -

haha not quite. it was a device called a stickypod. it is basicly a piece of aluminum with 4 industrial suction cups on it with a few tethers for the camera to the car. check it out, http://www.stickypod.com i also have another one of my videos featured on that page. its down on the lower left of the main page. you will see a green corrado and a black GTI. check out that video too. let me know what you guys think. =] thanks for the comment about the girlfriend. she is pretty cute indeed. this is Alexis and myself (Josh) in Florence Italy about 3 months ago. -
awesome. now i just need to find a VR6 in california that is worth getting.

wow, thanks guys =] it means a lot to hear positive feedback like this. that was my girlfriend, it was her first ride in my corrado and we have been together for 8 months now. she didnt know what was going on and she was kind of pissed we were laughing. yeah, i was really happy with the way that shot worked out. the liting on it was perfect. most of the other shots the sun was too bringht and i was too lazy to adjust my white balence on my camera. i was more worried about my car breaking down while i was out on the road. it was "my blue coolant temp popped out" the sensor popped out which caused coolant to go everywhere. -
i was just wondering if my suspension that is on my G60 would fit on a VR6? my car is a 90' with koni adjustables and ground control coilovers. i was just curiuos if that stuff would swap over to a VR6? would the year of the car make any difference? let me know what you guys think.

My DIGI 1 N/A 2.0L 16v Project finally drives - video (US)
Red=Fast replied to Red=Fast's topic in Engine Bay
lol yeah it is fine now. the blue coolant temp sensor somehow popped off of the flange and spilled coolant and created all of that steam. all i had to do was walk 40 feet up the road, get some coolant/water fill it back up and put the sensor back into the flange. it really wasnt any kind of real problem. we found it to be quite amusing. as for the song, it is "Let go" by the band Frou Frou. i will have some high speed shots as soon as the engine is broken in and running a bit better. it still needs some a good amount of tuning. =] -

thanks. =] i did that video in like 2 hours (including time to film and whatnot) i didnt spend much time on it. it could be better. =P -
here is the link for a quick teaser video i did. it is 24mb. and in .mov format (quicktime is required to view it - unless you have a movie player that will play .mov files) http://www.shovelbeating.org/~josh/movi ... 0drive.mov or go here: http://www.shovelbeating.org/~josh/movies/ and right click on "16v Corrado 1st drive" (its at the top of the list) and choose "save target as..." and save it to your computer. anyways, i hope you guys enjoy. dont worry about the ending of the video, everything is fine now. =] heh.

if you can find any PIAA bulbs to fit in there...they make some nice white light. passibly a white LED bulb? that might give you a more interesting color.
