  1. good to see you got yours back... now its my turn! mine is coming back tomorrow! its been 1 year and 4 months since i last drove my car on the road. tomorrow i should be getting my car back with my new engine in it. =]
  2. nice, that should be easy to fix, what do you suggest for getting a blue color of the LCD?
  3. well, i have the early version of the cluster so i only have 1 of the LCDs. i dont remember if they are back lit or not (because i have not driven my car in over a year) so i need a little refresh. if it is back lit, there should be no reason to keep any lites on it. if it isnt, where are the other two lights that i am going to have to make blue? im going for a blue theme on my car, so i plan on doing the reverse LCD look with blue #'s, and i have blue reverse glow guages, and i also plan on changing all the green lights in the car to blue. let me know. *side note* I SHOULD HAVE MY CAR BACK TOMORROW!!! its been 1 year and 4 months since it was a running/driveable car. as of 2 weeks ago, it is now a RUNNING 2.0L 16v corrado insted of a G60. im going to be getting more bhp out of this N/A engine than i was getting out of my G60. i am quite excited!
  4. yeah, he picked it up yesterday. the paint is actually a pearl white. you just cant tell from those pictures. i drove it back to the guys house, i am guessing the ISV needs to be replaced, it has some major boost leaks that neeed to be fixed, and it will probably need oil, spark plugs, spark plug wires, a new o2 sensor, wheel spacers (because the wheels that are on it, the calapers scrape the inside of the wheel), some new shocks, a nice tune up from a shop, the body work, and some interior work, with all of that done, that car could be pretty sweet. the car hasjust been sitting for over a year. but it has now been adopted by my friend as his secondary car (project car kept in car port) so he really doesnt have to get it done any time soon. the car itself could be pretty cool with a bit of work. and for $500, you really cant go wrong with that price concidering it runs. he could sell the parts off of the car and get his $500 back easly if he didnt want to try and fix it. (the interior on it is in awesome shape for the most part, there are a few weirds things, but its almost all new inside.)
  5. i am going to be removing my lights from that all together, should i just remove the bulbs? now that i am going to have reverse glow guages there is no need for lighting there.
  6. damn! thats cheap! i have only been able to find them in the US for $150 those ones are only $68!!!
  7. so what you guys are talking about is connecting like a palm to your car to get diagnostics on it? because i have seen those things for like MKIII jettas/GTIs and what not but nothing for a corrado. would it work on a 90' corrado G60 with digi 1? are those the things needed to do that? i dont know much about it, am i way off?
  8. haha. i think the guy should just take all of that crap off and just get a new paint job. it looks like the REAL corrado body is probably fine under all that.
  9. i will keep that in mind. =]
  10. here is a corrado my friend plans on picking up for $500. it has some odd body mods, it looks as though they made a new body shell around the original body. would you guys suggest taking all of that crap off or trying to fix it. sorry i dont have any whole pictures of the car, this is all my friend sent me. it runs by the way, it has just been sitting for over a year. there is a green/blue corrado under all that white! let me know what you guys think he should do.
  11. yeah 180 is what we were estimating as well. the company. sorry. techtonics.
  12. how much bhp do you guys think i will be running on my 2.0 16v i swapped in my car. (former G60) a completly rebuilt 2.0L 16v engine (everything inside is brand new) 266 cams TT header TT high flow cat TT cat back w/ borla muffler cool flow intake 50mm intake manifold digi 1 fuel management SNS 2.0L 16v chip lightened flywheel vw motorsport windage tray it has more but those are all the things i can think of off hand. let me know what you guys think. im just curious. :?: i can let you guys know what it actually is running as soon as i get it dynoed.
  13. well then, it sounds like a custom bonnet must be made. either way, that engine in a corrado would be freaking nuts. even if it didnt have the 4motion. i know someone who has made a awd corrado from a bunch of audi parts. that thing screams with the lysholm charger in it. i think he is running around 22psi, you cant hear the engine over the charger... =]
  14. it would not fit under the VR6 bonnet?

    My G60

    nice and clean.
  16. where are the mods, make a "How to section" we should also try and put all of the previous "how to's" on there from the site to consolidate everything into one place! its a great idea!
  17. i was told by an SNS tuning guy that it should be one or more of these things: CAM TIMING CAM BELT TIMING DITRIBUTER TIMING VACCUME LEAK i have never dealt with this before, this is all new stuff for me. i am sort of new into the car tuing thing.
  18. ok, well from my last post about the car flooding when trying to start, the shop has made a little progress. now the car is starting without any issues, but when it starts, it really cant hold an idle. the guys at the shop were telling me that they have to keep on the gas a bit just to keep it running. (i missed out on the only car show i could show my car this year because of this) i think i figured out why, but i just wanted to get some more opinions on it from you guys (the online corrado pros) ok, my guess is that it is the cams i am using. they are brand new 266's but the thing is, i dont think the shop did the break in procedure for the new cams when they finally worked past the flooding issue. does this sound like it could be the issue or am i just too much of a newbie to this sort of thing? PLEASE give me any suggestions, i just want my freaking car back. side note* (what would you guys do to break in a new set of cams? what procedure would you use?)

    Dial-face template

thta is an interesting aproach. i think it looks pretty sweet. that is the only second pair of dials i have seen that are black. i love the dark look and the aluminium bazels really accent it well. =] the only issue i see with it is that the tacometer looks a bit bubbly, is that because the material is so thin?
  20. lol yeah him almost taking out a few cars is the best part. he also ran through a stop sign on the wrong side of the road. and i didnt hear the whistle on his car at all....
  21. if you are talking about the actual side blinkers, the US spec ones did not come with them. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... ename=WDVW here is an ebay add for them. im sure if you keep looking online you can find them. they should be quite cheap.
  22. has anyone done this? what audi is it off of? how much did you spend on parts? it is an easy conversion? let me know i am considering it because dual piston calapers sound like good stopping power to me.
  23. are you looking for the clear turn indicators on the front bumber next to the fog lights? or are you looking for the side markers on the side of the front bumber. (i live in the US and i own a US spec corrado for futur reference) let me know man.

lol that could also be the problem, come to think of it i have done that a few times as well. =]
