AVOID Pro-Tune in Stafford at all Costs - GOT IT BACK
Garry replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Suppliers Forum
Go down there and f***ing give em some. If find that throwing petrol over them usually does the trick. Make him pay you for the inconvienience he has caused you! (These are only the opinions of the voices in my head and should not in anyway be associated with real me!) -
Loose the K-Jet system and get some bike carbs or throttle bodies on it  You need to exploit the high reving capability of a 16V - the 16V has excellent tuning potential
-
New lambda probe now fitted - seems to have cured the problem :D One very healthy G60
-
I used a breaker bar on mine too - tense moment though!
-
They are a complete b****rd to get out! Not sure what the best advice would be with this so I won't be giving any! All I will say is be real careful not to snap it off inside the crank!

can someone confirm these part numbers as stealers are no help(surprise surprise ) and say they are not availabe. cheers. I just bought these two items from the dealers in MK - they are available but may have to be ordered in for you. 8)
-
I have pretty much checked everything except the Lambda probe - gonna fit a new one this weekend. I have a feeling that mine has been baked in oil as a result of the supercharger seal giving up on the motorway. Have just finished completly rebuilding the block and the charger.
-
The part numbers you need are... Non stretch bolt - N 040 106 4 (VAG) Washer - 068 105 193 A (VAG)
-
Did you ever get the 'lumpy' running problem sorted? Mine has developed exactly the same symptoms!
-
Makes a difference - much cleaner power delivery
-
Thats a real shame dude - I hate hearing stories like this
-
I'd give a months salary to catch somone f***ing with my motor - it'd be worth it just to see the look on their face as I pass sentence and deal out the punishment
-
Its a Konnnesegggurrghhhh MK11
-
Mine does this sometimes too. I believe it could be the V-belt slipping over the charger pulley wheel. This does tend to happen when you are running a smaller diameter wheel which is why G-Werks offer the toothed pulley system.

I hate... Tesco lorries - 40 mph every where Argos lorries - 40 mph every where Tractors / JCB's / milk floats on the road during rush hours All Taxi's All Couriers Sales reps on phones - BMW brigade Most van drivers - not all are bad just most All lycra clad cyclists - normally 2 or 3 abreast Horses - we live in a country full of fields - why ride them on the road? All Pensioners Saxo drivers Nova drivers Any chav in any vehicle - including VW's Halfords hotrods - usually vauxhall chavaliers 4x4 mums Most other road users Did I miss anyone? Oh yeah all caravans - you know who you are... The roads these days are full of sh** it is becomming harder and harder to enjoy driving. I must be getting old

I had one a while ago but decided to sell it. They are okay for motorway use as most cameras are either radar triggered static Gatso's or (in road works) radar triggered mobile units. It will pick these up as good as gold, however it will pick up all sorts of missleading signals on an urban journey - things like automatic shop door ways & trafic lights etc which can be a pain in the ring piece. Oh and don't rely on them for picking up lazer either, buy the time you have realised your being targetted they've already logged your speed - it takes seconds. Look on e-bay if you want one they sell for £50 second hand. Hope this helps

Saw a red Corrado just outside Bow Brickhill today - could'nt tell what varient but gave him a wave. I was in the very low white G60 coming from the MK direction. Hello who ever you are :D
-
Just wanted to say a big thanks to Darren & Steve for looking at my G60 Corrado on Saturday. Very knowlegable, very helpful - absolute top blokes - would recomend them to anyone. Will be in touch soon for the bearings guys. Cheers Garry

I'm based on Old Farm Park
-
Yep that was me dude :D

Try your local breakers or on the PVW website. The RAC have them - when my cabby left me stranded they tried changing the brain/ecu and I was surprised that they carried one on the van. It worked out to be my fuel pump relay in the end. (on the cabby that is) If you are a meber of the RAC call em out and they will check it for free!

Golddust Did I see you at the BP station RB on the A421 in MK last night??? I was in the white G60 next to you - I'm assuming it was you as it's the only nugget yellow C I've seen in MK.

I had a similar sounding problem on a Scirocco GTi I used to own many years ago... Have you checked the large earth strap that is clamped to the rocker cover - this can cause problems on K-Jet engines if not proberly connected or badly corroded. Failing that you should try swapping your ECU to see if that makes any difference.
