£40 for the subframe if you want it. ;)
-
Pauline, it's nothing a refurbed subframe (I have a bare one ready for refurb for sale), refurbed hubs and some new wishbones wouldn't sort out. You'd want to replace the wishbone bushes anyway, so just buy complete. I can't see it being a problem. It's not as if the rust looks terminal anyway. A donor car will still need all that stuff doing anyway.

Starting up a business in this economic climate will be harder than normal, but if you pull through (and I'm sure you will) you will know it's a good business. I agree about the slogan. It's good, but the type of clientèle that you WILL get the business off in this economic state, may be the ones that might disprove :( Good luck all the same :salute:

JSB Racing Shiftlight kit - Pre-order for next batch
mrbeige replied to mrbeige's topic in Suppliers Forum
Glad it's all still good! :) jonny-5 fitted his kit to a mk2 Golf 16v. It can be done, but is quite a bit more fiddly than with the Corrado clocks. There are LED blanks in the centre of the cluster that can be used. I set my lower limit to be about 5-5.5k in my valver :) -
They look niiiiiiiice 8)

To be fair, I shouldn't think he'll have a problem, as DOS in just an acronym, much like CAN or ASDL. It's the MS part of it that is trademarked. :)
-
He'll have 2 extra pairs of hands next weekend too :)
-
Didn't even notice that...... To be fair Margaret, he's got a point!

Hi, thanks for the message but after googling that name they look different, no rim between the spokes and the edge of the wheel. Thanks though! Ah well, worth a try lol

Looks like an Ace 112 to me

Wow, it's got a Karmann interior! -
Yes, yes, yes. Along with Armin Van Burren, A & B are by far the best DJs and producers out there at the moment. Have you got any of the Anjunabeats albums? Yup, I've got Anjunabeats 5, Anjunabeats 6 and Anjunabeats 100 and love them! Awesome stuff

Nice 8) Looks like a hell of a lot of camber on those front wheels

How new is the battery? Check that the boot light isn't staying on when you close it. Does it have an alarm? How long has it been sat not being driven? You need to retumble your looks, so you only need one key!! I suggest you use the boot lock key as the master :)

I've got the bug back...........but for what...
mrbeige replied to G60Jet's topic in General Car Chat
It is running sh1te American fuel though - 93 octane! I think if it were running Super or Optimax, it'd be substantially more, plus the A4 Avant is about 1.7 Tonnes, so not a particularly light car. -
Normally something goes bang and it costs bucks....
-
Run it at night with the bonnet up, and you'll probably see the coil-pack shorting if it has a undetectable crack. Get VAG-com on it to see if there are any fault codes.

There isn't a particularly easy/cheap way to do it to be fair. Apart from the obvious, exhaust, exhuast manifold, indution kit which don't have a huge effect. A few people have had good results with the Schimmel 263 cams and a remap, but you wont get change out of £600-700, even if you fit the cams yourself. Supercharging seems to be the preferred method of substantially upping BHP. Kits are available, and there are a few different manufacturers to choose from - Rotrex/Vortech/Z-Engineering, but you are looking at a minimum of £1800ish for that kit, but for a DIYer, it is possible to fit yourself. Next up is turbo, but the ways to do that are almost limitless, and you'll also need a fairly large wallet for that :D Have a look through the members gallery on here for inspiration of what is possible and in most cases, you can get a general idea of cost from them.

You need to get the 'standard' VR ones. NGK BKR5EKUP IIRC. Had some Champion ones in our Golf VR, looked fine, and relatively new, changed them for the NGK, and it was like driving a different car. The difference was night and day.
