  1. They've stolen my idea, the barstewards :(
  2. The 9A fuelling is a little more complicated than the KR though. If you look at your metering head next to all the fuel lines there is a little 3mm allen key, were if you undo these you can actually adjust the fuelling to each injector. Here's what my mate did on a 10V Audi turbo (same KE-jet management) to support 280bhp
  3. I think he means 16v 256mm to VR/G60 280mm, and yes plenty of people have done it, including me. Definitely worth it. Can be a very cheap brake upgrade. Seen VR/G60 calipers and carriers go for £30-50 then just discs (G60 ones as they are 4 stud) and pads. Job done 8)
  4. This whole debarkle p1sses me off. If there was a problem with the diffuser, it would have been flagged up by the stewards at the first two races. Ferrari are just sour cos they didn't think of it and aren't in the points yet. They certainly wouldn't be complaining if their drivers had been on the podium thus far. It's quite refreshing not to see Ferrari and Mclaren doing so well, maybe they wont be so complacent next time.
  5. Did you end up making you're money back on it Neil?
  6. What would be interesting is to get it on a rolling road, to see if Oettinger fettling has 'helped' ;)
  7. Looks tidy mate. Got any engine bay shots (of the Oettinger plate)
  8. Seems odd that the guy hasn't given the spec of the engine. As he says... Well, I think if you were into your Golfs, you'd know VW never did a 2.0 16v one :) 190bhp from a 2.0 isn't unheard of, but does require a fair amount of work being done to the engine to produce it, normally a professionally ported/polished head, aftermarket cams and exhaust manifold at the very very least...
  9. Weren't all of the BRM Mk2's earlier small bumper ones?
  10. What type of paint are you using dude? It looks like you've got cellulose and water based mixed together to get a reaction like that?? Maybe??
  11. I 'did' have a tool to do it until some thieving gypsy scum bag stole it :( £105 sound cheap. Do they guarantee not to split the paint whilst doing it?
  12. If you've got the right tool, you can do it yourself....I did ^^^^^ :)
  13.    Glad it passed....time for a new head and KR cams then ;) Oh, and I have some news on what you can do re the fuelling.... There's more where that came from ;)
  14. I don't suppose back pressure is such an issue on a charged engine. Are you running a standard fanimold? Really pleased for you anyway! You are way way way ahead of me now :(
  15. Well, we have a project at work for a motorbike ECU that will be based on our VW Citi Golf ECU, just struggling to get the plug. Do you have the VW part number? Just something the resourcing guys can use to ask...
  16. The company I work for is doing a roof control module for Karmann :D ;)
  17. Oooooooh BRM Golf valver...my mate had one...went REALLY well!
  18. Had a request from one of the guys at work, adn was wondering if anyone could help? Can anyone help??
  19. Just get your metal arches flared/pulled
  20. £60 DIY fit or £70 and your clocks and I'll fit it for you :) and a deposit would be cool :) Sling me a PM...
  21. VW only I'd imagine, but wont cost the earth. It's the one in position 4 with the number 18 on it, IIRC :) [EDIT]It should click when you crank the engine :)
