  1. 2 for me 1 x K-reg 9A 16v 1 x G-reg KR 16v (one the drive, although never driven it yet :( )
  2. Had them on my 2.0 16v, you'll need to roll the rears otherwise you'll shread the tyres, but the fronts should be fine! :)
  3. Cue, junkie, as he's got a G60 T...where is he when you want him....
  4. Cool, I'll add you to the list :) Not a problem, takes a couple of hours :)
  5. That sounds awesome James
  6. Indeed mate, that's the first job on Monday evening :D
  7. One thing and another, they aren't ready yet. Apologies for the delay :( Nearly finished the boards, the switch and power looms are done, just the LED loom and a quick flash and test and they will be done...next week people, next week :D Updated the first post with the confirmed deposits :)
  8. ...or a carless 24v....
  9. The early KR heads had larger ports than the later ones and indeed larger again than the 9A. Any idea when the hydro tappets were done? Easy job to change, but not cheap at about 4 quid a tappet! Also, any clue on how old the stem seals are? That's a pig of a job to do, but no point putting a head on that has old seals as you'll just burn through your oil. Defo get exhaust manifold studs and some nuts to go with them, you can get copper ones that are purposely slightly triangular on the thread, to stop the buggers coming loose 500 miles down the road (I speak from experience). You don't need to get injectors, unless yours are tired, but I'd recommend injector O-rings, as you may find the ones in there are old. HTH
  10. As said above, if you want a VR, then sell yours and buy a Corrado with a VR already in it. With that in mind, I think you'd be much better going for the 1.8T conversion. It'll bolt straight onto you current gearbox and if you don't mind the wiring the only real issue will be the downpipe (readily available from the likes of QPeng) and boost piping. bigpants baby has two low mileage 1.8T engines for sale at around 380 quid, so there is your solution :) Look here :) (and no, I'm not on commission...yet  )
  11. yes criminal. Don't. I'll store them for you in my wheel arches.

Good work chap! Good to see another person having a 'go' at DIYing 8) Hmmm, might well be worth a Wiki article :)

  14. He's definitely got the biggest ****
  15. Corsa SXi :epicfail: Admittedly that was when I had my running issue with my 2.0l 9a....
  16. You'll need a Digifant fuel pump as well as it runs at much lower pressure, ideally :)
  17. When we fitted the coilies to the Golf VR the front settled LOADS more than the rears, in fact prolly around 2 inches on the front and an inch on the back...whether that will apply to the lighter valver engine I don't know...
  18. The crack pipe working wonders for you again?
  19. Have you already done all the bushes/track rod ends etc etc? Replacing them with new ones will make more of a difference than an anti-roll bar, I'm sure.
