Petition against national speed limit reduction
mrbeige replied to dukest's topic in General Car Chat
My only question would be; how are they going to enforce it? There aren't any police in the countryside anyway. I've lived in our village for nearly 2 years and I've seen ZERO police presence. When I lived in the sticks up in Shropshire, I think I saw the police twice in 15 years and one of those times was at the Primary School :epicfail: -

Coolio :) Oh, and the PCBs arrived today :D -
Ah, but isn't Yan using a VR throttle? :confused4:

Oh dear, now you've done it..... :nono: Si, I totally agree about running a highly tuned car everyday (not that I have personal experience), it can cost a fortune to keep them on the road. Even just up rating brakes etc will dramitcally increase running costs for a car that DOESN'T break down  Not really had any feelings about the old TT. My Mum has one, 225 facelift in Misano red, nice car, goes well, looks the part and to be fair, not a bad daily! It's much better than my daily anyway.... :(

Tom, I can't find that TSW tool anywhere :( I see that you got the wheels off anyway :)
-
Have you got any Irwins Karl? They should do the job, unless you've not got a bolt head left to get any purchase on?
-
When I had to change the water pump on mine, I just put a piece of 2 x 4 across the bottom of the sump, undid the front engine mount and jacked it up.
-
Block of wood on top of a jack would do it :)

Jim's Corrado - ciao to the Fiat! Hello to.. (P64)

:brickwall: no need Jim, that's poop luck. -
They are never that much??????

IIRC, there is one that runs from the RHS of the block round to the front behind the oil filter. It connect to the odd shaped T piece that connects the front top rad outlet to the pump and heat exchanger.....clear as mud....could well be blocked, they do rust like a rusty thing
-
I second that....phat! Like the stance and wheels in the third pic too 8)

What's interesting is that the fan doesn't come on that often, which given that the rad switch, rad, thermostat are all new suggests that the rad just isn't getting hot enough to warrant the fan coming on in the first place. I really think it's the sensors and/or instrument cluster giving you duff info..... ...if not then just drop a 20vt in there and be done with it ;)
-
My sentiments exactly 8)
-
Jim, have you tried cleaning the pins on the sensor connectors? It could be your sesnors giving you a false reading??
-
I'm pretty sure I've got a TSW spanner in the garage, if you are interested? Snoopy looks pretty tidy 8)
