  1. I have to agree with the monkey here. The intake temps into the G will only be ambient anyway, so injection post throttle would be the best I think, gives the smallest amount of time for the intake temp to heat up again after the injection. (
  2. Pretty sure you can't 'attach' .bmp files. You'll need to either convert it to a jpeg or upload it to photobucket or some such site like it. :dorky:
  3. It's amazing how much difference the 288's and Goodridges have made, highly recommend it as a mod and feeling much more confident to take it on the ring now. I'll take you out for a spin in it as soon as you're feeling better chap! Cool, that'd be good. We'll stick VAG-com on it as well to check everything is A-OK 8)
  4. Looking gooooooood dude! 8) So how much better is the stopping then?
  5. You'd need to find out to what form the rebuild took really. some will just be bearings (etc) and some will be cylinder reboring etc. Corrado Buying Guide might help you with your search.
  6. Indeed mate, but the first one I bought looked absolutely mint, and it wasn't until the windscreen started leaking that I started to have a poke around the A pillars to find a hole the size of my fist to fit through. I took it apart to attempt to restore it and it turned out to be a complete nail. £1800 down the drain, and that was 10 years ago! I wish you the best of luck mate
  7. To be fair rob, you will be extremely lucky to find a Mk1 like that, unless it has been restored. I've had two mk1's and both were rotten, although they didn't look it. Don't get me wrong, I love mk1's, but you'll need deep pockets ;)
  8. Should take them a full day to do that mate, so if they fit it quicker than that, I'd be a little suspicious....
  9. I think 'jammy' is more like it Karl!
  10.                 Awesome skill!
  11. I've got one of these going to ED38 if that's any use Yan? Glad to see you are making progress though.....I'm guessing our plan to get both our cars to ED38 this year isn't going to happen then?
  12. You can't fit a cone filter to the 2.0 16v (9a) or the 1.8 (KR), as the air going int othe engine has to be measures using the metering head. The Mk3 ABF engine on the other hand can use a cone filter, as it uses a MAF rather than the metering head.
  13. I have to agree with that, alarms are indeed only as good as the fitting of it. When I worked for a Car Audio shop, some of the abominations that I saw from so called fitters were shocking. Cliffords are probably one of the worst alarms to fit, being a lot more complicated than most, and it has to be said we did see a lot of problems with Clifford security. Being fair though, most of the problems were off the older Clifford systems (Concept 50 era) G4 and G5 stuff seemed to be a lot better. On the other hand, I think in 7 years of working there I didn't see one Cobra or Autowatch alarm come back with problems. That has to be a good thing.
  14. If the garage did the fitting it is THEIR responsibility to ensure they are fitted correctly. That pic on the first page clearly shows no grease on the inner bearing, so HOW can they blame the parts? I'd be livid if that happened to me. Don't give in mate. Small claims court if necessary. What I can't understand is, if they value you as a customer so much and you have put so much business their way, why the hell are the squabbling over this? As has been said before a bad reputation travels a lot quicker than a good one and unfortunately for them, schitt sticks!
  15. pretty certain they are Stu but will check everything again! cheers for your helping hands on saturday too! No worries John, didn't do a great amount comparatively speaking, apart from showing my legs
  16. Lifetime warranty is fine, but they can be a ball ache if stuff goes wrong. Black Jax is a pain as in if you open the door with the engine running you have a set amount of time to input the valet code onto the coded switch before Black Jax becomes active - ball ache. Plus as you say, thatcham have issues with the system in itself. To be fair, if it were me and I wanted a Clifford, go for a 350, add the two zone prox and remote start if you want it.
  17. A lot more things to go wrong with an avant guard rather than general G5 Clifford. Plus the Black Jax can be a pain in the bum. My advice would be to go for a basic Cat 1 Cobra or Autowatch.
  18. I know this could be a long shot, but are the temp sensor plugs on the right way round?
  19. Oooooh progress, looking forward to seeing this in the metal tonight. Is that Em brandishing the drill?
  20. I might have to agree  I said the same thing to Tom last night, when he said that your fuel consumption wasn't as good
  21. Another vote for the ZZ3s here too
  22. The one in the middle
