  1. Darren, you are a bad bad man  Hmmmm, I should pull my finger out really! Need to get on with it
  2. I broke mine (long story) and I've got no where near 4k. I'll be lucky to see 2k and that's with 16"x9" Borbet A's, koni T/As and H&R springs, magnex, £1500 of audio and no accident damage. (I've replied to your post in my for sale thread by the way) As far as reshelling is concerned, its a good way to learn the ins and outs of the Corrado. I reckon the knowledge of how the car fits together, is well worth it.
  3. Ah yes, but it is in a mk2 golf, so no CAT to restrict it. I did this change on my 9a, and it made it much more lively at the top end, but that didn't compromise torque. You get an extra 1mm lift with the KR inlet cam, but the duration is the same, so you should gain and not lose.
  4. Cheers Dave. I'm liking the subtle hint at the non-standard :)
  5. Whoa  will look cool I reckon. What type of paint have you used dude? I want to do mine, as the ones going on Gooney are in my garage.
  6. What do people think of this exhaust manifold? Is it likely to be poo? Is 321 stainless steel any good for this application?
  7. dinkus, I'm 99% sure that the blue grey one is speed pulse input to the standard stereo. I wired that up to the aerial outputon mine and the spoiler stopped working, as there is no protection circuitry in the clocks for that I/O line, it blew a transistor on the board. There as a spoiler fixing thread that I started ages and ages ago somewhere....
  8. I reckon Rumbongo pink! Rumbongo is yellowish? Shows how much I know :silly:
  9. Legend! Pics? Vids? Conversion instructions? Wanna do mine?
  10. Nice work, that rad fits in there well 8) Where did you get your fuel rail fittings from dude?
  11. No worries dude, no massive hurry anyway. Spent most of the weekend striping the other one to be fair. Just the subframe, rear axle and pedal box to come out now. Then I can punt the shell on (hopefully)
  12. Fair play dude, nothing phases you at all! Top marks for effort and balls
  13. Cool, cheers Darren :D Gonna be pricing up some parts from the Stealers this week too; bearings, gaskets 'n' stuff, to see what sort of money I'm looking at to get the block built as well.
  14. Being devils advocate.... You aren't necessarily out of pocket. The dealers would have charged you £214.50 for he job and you paid £100. So looking at it that ay it was done cheaper than the dealers would have charged you. Now, if the dealers had done it in 1 hour 10mins, you can't guarentee that they would have only charged you for that much time. I know last time I took my Corrado to a dealer it cost £185 to change the core plug in the side of the head behind the cambelt. At the end of the day, you have had the job done at less than half what the dealers were going to charge you, so you are better off. Don't fret dude :doc:
  15. Pretty sure that's for the amplifier in the antenna, dude.
  16. Sweeeeet, might have to try and sort that this weekend, along with stripping the Badcrumble completely :doc:
  17. It's sounding better every post! :D I'll have a look under the 2.0 at the weekend and see if I can get the hangers off that and see if they will fit to the 1.8.
  18. Indeed, but the exuast is a CAT back system, and doesn't the 1.8 have a longer manifold and downpipe?
  19. I'd do the following... 2.0l bottom end, 4 branch exhaust mainfold, modified exhuast cam used for inlet (extra 1mm of lift) WUR modification, port-matched manifold, flowed throttle body, DIY port and polish The bottom 4 of those you can do yourself. The 4 branch, 2.0l bottom end and exhaust cam you could prolly find on fleabay for not a lot. You should see around 160-170 horses I reckon. Do you have any time constraints?
  20. Well, if you can the hangers from VW, then I might have to get them :)
  21. Very quick question. Will a Magnex fitted to a late valver fit an early one? I know that the hangers are different, but will it fit?
