  1. well i should have been up north a few weeks back, but that trip was cancelled. let me no when your all up and running mate, i will give the new engine a good spanking up the motorway
  2. cheers for the b' day wishes :) it wont be running for at least a month i think/hope. i'm really starting to miss it also :( but i'm slowly getting parts re-attached ready for when the ECU will be getting all wired up. today was re-attaching all the gearbox cables/fitting the alternator/power steering pump/heater matrix pipework, and fitting my nice red rocker cover 8) karl
  3. well mine have the standard corrado seat belt anchors fitted.
  4. i'm pretty sure that on kw's and weitecs the top adjuster (the one the spring rest's on) has a step on them to locate the spring centrally, well i'm 99% sure my weitecs do anyway, and my old H&R's 100% did. i also agree with boost monkey about the springs, look at daves16v kw v1's for sale thread, the rear springs dont look the same as yours :?
  5. i still can't decide if i like it or not?? obviously if it was anything like the IROC i would have one on the drive this minute :) but i'm just waiting for one to be written off so i can vulture it, and get the front/rear seats out of one.
  6. i'm so gald your happy with the engine Nikki :) you will have no problems with the engine for many many miles :) and heres my favourite pic of Zed. karl
  7. yeh cheers Bill, but arent you also 38?? and just because its my birthday that doesn't mean i haven't done anything as the R32 is in :D its very messy at the moment, and have got loads to be getting on with, but at least its off the pallet and in the engine bay. a huuuuuge shout to Matt at Dubunit in Fazeley tamworth for everything 8) if any of you guys are thinking about an engine conversion?? this IS the guy to speak to :salute: karl
  8. welcome, and let the spending commence
  9. knowing how good you are at buiding engines/turbos/manifolds etc etc, this should be up and running by about Friday :)
  10. Sssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh some sickie days are forcasted from tomorrow  and i have no problem with anyone wanting to take it out for a drive when its done, i remember Jims face when i gave him the keys to mine when it was supercharged, hes face was priceless. karl
  11. i've got the TX's height/damping adjustable, and they are superb. there even better than my old H&R comforts, and miles better than the konigsports that i had on before them :pukeright:
  12. i would go for the TH lines at the present time, this is only due to the number of people running the very popular LM copies.
  13. what do ya mean cheap?? i thought £350 was expensive
  14. oh yeh silly me :) i meant to say the standard corrado one.
  15. lets hope it all goes ok mate, and i have sent you that package today chris :)
  16. hi Craig, well i did not answer due to not having a clue about MoTec  i believe that the R32 is not an FSI engine, i'm sure that over people have said this also?? and yeh i'm using the standard radiator with the same twin 11" spal fans. karl
  17. when i had to take mine of for the red-tops, i just undid the front engine mount, then jacked up the engine it made it sooo much easier to get to the bolts.
  18. i would not even buy brand new konigsports, they are bloody hard even on the softest setting?? save up and get some weitec's, lovely suspension 8)
  19. well i will be in no rush for stage2 of the R32 Alex, as i have just bought a new house, so that will be taking priority from september. so will most def be intrsted to see how yours turns out 8) and as for Power, driveability, reliability?? i most def want the last 2, but i will be more than happy with around 400bhp. which a rotrex will easily do on an R32. karl
  20. nothing at all Alex, you and Bobby have proved that you can get some awesome results from using the rotrex, plus the rotrex is easier to actually install, easily upgradeable, and seeing that lots of people are going turbo, dare i say it the rotrex will be more unique in the future?? but its that anoying feeling that i could have in the back of my head "should i have gone turbo" i'm meeting somebody hopefully next weekend who has an r32 turbo'd mk3, so i hope i will have a better idea what i'm going to be doing. but first things first, i have to get the R32 running first  karl
  21. prescot 2009 yeh no problem, prescot 2008?? i dont think so
  22. tooo bloody right, i really cant wait :) i may be throwing a couple of sickies to get it fitted sooner.
  23. well i started on the R32 conversion today :) some mates think i'm mad taking out a perfectly good engine, but i'm sure they will change there mind when its all running with some form of boost attached. today went ok, just the driveshafts/6 branch were a pain. going to be cleaning up the engine bay before i put the R in, but it will be in by next wednesday. karl
  24. yeh £1500 is a good price mate, i have seen them go for anything upto £2200 on e-bay, plus depending on how your gonna do it?? you could sell loads of bits that you wont need. and when i phoned up storm they were gonna charge me £1200 all in for the emerald. but £1500 is over 4 times what i paid for mine though 8) karl "the bargain hunter"
