  1. well the company in leeds has just told me they quoted me for the 312's :( and they cant do the 323's?? but i looked on e-bay again and CRN also list the discs i saw before as best offer also, i offered them £100 (being cheeky) and they refused that offer, but would sell me them for £120 8) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SEAT-LEON-CUPRA-R ... dZViewItem also got some mintex pads for £28 delivered karl
  2. they are grooved, here is what they quote on the EBC website. Ultimax BlackDash USR Slotted Rotors The narrower multi slot design of the Ultimax sport rotor and the progressive angle at which the slots are machined creates a quiet running sport rotor that still has benefits of removing gas, dirt, water and debris and MAINTAINING parallel pad wear. EBC have always been honest enough to say that the biggest advantage of slotted rotors is the fact that they promote flat and parallel pad wear rather than allowing ridges to develop on pads and rotors which is typical of "drilled only" sport rotors. By preventing these ridges brakes stay more consistent throughout pad and rotor wear life (simple physics!). so just the usual dribble then, also just found some Ferodo DS5200 pads for £78 inc postage (bargain)
  3. ok well thanks for looking guys, its appreciated :) shame about the original brembos but i have found a place in leeds who will supply me with the new EBC range of discs (Ultimax??) in the 323 x 28mm size for £175 inc transport  so i should get these by the end of next week. just looking for some of the Ferodo ds5200 pads that will fit. karl
  4. you dont need to take engine/gearbox out at all :? i would say to make it easier take the bumper/slam panel off, just so your not leaning over all the time. whereabouts are you though?
  5. cheers marcus i was told my alex303 to ask you about those discs as he was sure you were using them, what pads have you gone for?? and how do you rate the disc/pad combination your running?? thanks karl

  8. yeh that would be great Graham, i would prefer drilled (look better  ) but grooved would be great mate. thanks karl
  9. ok i'm swapping my TT brakes over for the Brembo's i acquired 8) but the discs are wafer thin, and the pads have 1mm left on them :( i cant seem to find good spec 323 x 28mm discs anywhere, Alex303 pointed me in the direction of somebody who does them for a more reasonable price. but what about these dustbin lids?? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SEAT-LEON-CUPRA-R ... dZViewItem ok there not brembo's etc etc, but they are alot cheaper, and i understand that you get what ya pay for. any thoughts welcome. karl

    Tidying Under Arches

i gave mine a real good scrubbing when i bought the car, then brushed on some waxoyl. a quick hose down and they still look really clean. karl
  16. well thats rubbish, how many times have we seen at stealth rolling road days when a virtually standard corrado vr6 gets on the rollers and gets well over 200bhp, i think the most for a standard (except stainless exhaust/air filter) was about 212bhp??? karl
  17. its what vortech call there dual idler pulley, whan you put on a fresh belt you dont use the little pulley on the left of the alternator, but when you have run out of adjustment by using the bolt on the charger bracket, you then route the belt under that pulley and it takes up even more belt slip. karl
  18. i have put this picture in Nemesis360 thread, but does anyone think it could actually work here?? the main problem i can see is the oil filter housing will be in the way. any ideas???
  19. no mate i'm getting the bracket from http://r-techs.dk/en/supercharger-accessories-30/ in denmark mate, there bracket works out to £240ish pounds delivered. are you by any chance making a bracket so the charger fits below the alternator??? i was looking at this myself ages ago, but i thought the oil filter housing would be in the way???
  20. i would say that looking at he's sig he drives a moonlight blue vr6.
  21. yes there is such a pulley, i had one on my old vortech. heres a pic karl
  22. yeh i agree paul, i used one of yours for about 8 months with no belt slip at all, also Leon i noticed, and told Nick that he's belt was way to tight. that could also be a reason why your getting through them??
