  1. yeh they are available in 4 & 5 stud, i will be finding out from the guy on monday/tuesday about the exact cost/sizes, he thinks they also do them in 16's.
  2. always loved these alloys, just a shame they dont make them in 17" :? as for price, i would say about £500-£550 karl
  3. i'm getting some details from a uk supplier on these wheels, he will have to get them sent over from the states on the next delivery, but he has found out the weight of them 8x17's come in at 9.5kilo,
  4. for those of us who dont have about £2000 to spend on some BBS LM's (thats most of us) i have found these alloys. ok they are not bbs's so 1, they will weigh more 2, they will not be as well made, 3, they are about £500 for the set of 4.
  5. i'll let ya have a drive of mine adam, then make your mind up???
  6. i bought an electric window kit from GSF for one of my old mk2 golfs about 7 years ago, and they are still working 100%. on the golf it was a piece of p to fit, but on a corrado everything is a pain in the ass
  7. what problems do you all think i would encounter by trying to fit a TT/MK4 master cylinder??? karl :)
  8. bloody americans.... Shaun i will remember this time mate, it will be my xmas prezzie to me.
  9. where abouts in the country are ya mate??? karl
  10. while at ed38 this year, i heard one kid-lad ask he's mate what he thought about the corrado's the reply was "it's not a real VW it looks like a capri with a body kit on it" the cheeky little shite then got into a chuffing lupo 1.2???
  11. ok i'm confused now, (that don't take much) when i see ya on the 9th Will, we will have to check this out. as for 120mph. there arent many motorways in the b'ham area you can do that type of speed, way to many camera's. :x karl
  12. yes very true Will. but it does for some reason to be at a lower rev at cruising speeds ie 70/80 mph. what does a normal vr6 rev at 80mph?? i always thought mine was about 3100 rpm at 80mph before the charger. :?
  13. i dont personally think the fuel is any worse/better with the charger on, the only time it's worse is when your really flooring it, thats when the red tops push the fuel through, but cruising on the motorway it's miles better, cant remember exactly on the car before the charger, but at 80mph it's only on 2800rpm, as for insurance i'm an old git  so i only pay £380 FC, protected no claims etc etc. with all mods declared. karl
  14. cheers Will, i most def will have the door mate, i have sent you a PM. speak soon, and of course you can have a drive . karl
  15. well decided it was time for the final re-map. so been to stealth and let vince work he's magic. wish i had done this earlier  as the car is so much more refined/shed loads faster. i started of with (only) 255bhp, but after a few runs we came up with the following figures 286.4bhp @6088rpm, 250.6lb @5093rpm, i have no stalling issues at all, and the flat spots are 100% gone. so a big :thumbleft: to Vince.
  16. i'm really liking these (another xmas prezzie for me) do you think we will have any problems with the police/MOT time with these tints??
  17. a complete waste of £292 mate, save your money and get a charger. they are getting cheaper all the time :( here are 2 i have just found. http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... opic=68409 http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.p ... opic=68408 also L3PRRR has a brand new vortech system for sale on here.
  18. i understand that these would be no good for a corrado, but its another design/style for you to see Jimmi. karl :) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Volkswagen-VR6 ... dZViewItem

    car polisher

the polisher will be here on monday, so looking at polishs/waxes now. i want a good bit of kit for mostly getting rid of the bloody swirl marks, and leaving the car looking very clean, what do you think of this selection i have chosen, 1, menzerna sr34a for the swirls, used with the sonus swirl buster. 2, meguiars no20 polymer sealent, used with meguiras soft buff pad. 3, colinite476 wax, used with a menzerna polishing pad. any advise on the above products is very much appreciated, karl
  21. easy this one, just put mk4 in the search, and select drivetrain for the search. they are 100 times better than standard. :)
  22. when you change the 280's to either 288's or 312's. make sure you bleed the master cylinder also, unplug an abs sensor and ram the brakes on a few times, then bleed the master cylinder. makes the pedal alot firmer. make sure you attach the abs sensor after though.
  23. out of the £7500 bill there was 26 hours labour at £54.20 per hour, new engine £3800, new plugs/oil/engine mounts/radiator?? the guy had the gearbox done at the same time, on the report it said new engine required due to chains being fitted incorrectly.?? cant tell you what happened as i bought the car from a vw dealer. but it must have been bad for them to put a new engine in, but hey i dont care. :)
  24. if the passenger is not impressed?? i have the solution mate, make the ungratefull sod bloody walk
