  1. well done blue95 you did good with the car, but i'm afraid i dont think anybody will come close to jays old rado, perfection 8) karl
  2. hi there, i dont suppose you live on bedford road in sutton coldfield?? just i recall seeing a corrado very similiar to this ages ago? nice corrado by the way 8) karl
  3. cheers guys, i have the use of a proper sewing machine at a saddlers, so the machine is more than up to the job. i have made the templates today for the rear seats. then gonna cut the leather out, then on saturday its sewing time. and yeh yalan the leather dying kit will dye black leather virtually any colour, it may not be so good going from black to white, but the red is a good rich colour i have been told, so it will dye fine (i hope) karl
  4. well i have decided to have a go at doing a leather re-trim, the front seats i'm gonna dye with a proper leather dying kit, but for the rears i will be doing it myself 8) i took the rear seats out, and parted the material from the foam, theres about 20 clips holding them on, and some wire attached to the material that helps pull the covers into the recess in the foam. getting some thick paper to mark out the panels, some proper leather thread. and off we go :) i will post on here the procedure i'm doing, but it looks quite easy. i have opted for the blood red colour in the end. the leather for the rears cost me £18.50 delivered of the bay. so think this will be the cheapest re-trim ever :D karl
  5. having owned 2 vr6's in nearly 4 years, all i have had to change on either car is a water pump, and a ignition switch. well apart from things that the car never really needed, like big brakes/stainless exhaust/new alloys/charger, but these were things i did so it was my car :) karl
  6. coming on very nicely james. 8) how much longer till this beast hits the streets?? karl
  7. cheers for bringing this up again :( i still haven't caught up with the w****r, but i will one day  karl
  8. no problems mate, just glad you got them sorted 8) karl
  9. you can get the LCD film from maplins, they sell it in 6" sheets. there is different levels of film though, get the darkest one they sell, and just cut it to size. karl
  10. yeh you messed up mate  , you must take off the factory film from off the front of the LCD, i used a very sharp scalpel to get them off. so out come the clocks mate, karl

    re remap

he ya go eatthis 'm sure this will sort out your problem?? if you buy it?? i will buy the 12psi pulley off ya. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VR6-VF-ENGINEERIN ... dZViewItem karl
  12. i have never been 100% happy with mine since the re-map. my car really hunts for the revs for about 1-2 minutes, and you can really smell the fuel. but as soon as its warm its perfect. but park up for about 5-10 minutes, engine is still warm, but it still hunts for the revs. when i have a spare day i will have to go and see vince. karl

hi eatthis if ya dont fancy making a dual idler set up?? you could just buy one from C2 motorsports, i have one on mine and there is 100% no belt slip at all, they have some good bits for the charged vr6. http://www.c2motorsports.net/supercharg ... onents.asp karl
  14. thanks for the replys guys. i have narrowed it down to the blood red, or the biscuit. the colour change will be done as soon as i get a rear leather bench. i will be taking pics of all the stages in the re-colouring for you all to see. fingers crossed it works  karl

    16v to vr6

i have the AK's on my vr6, they were great for the first 6/9 months, but they have become very crashy/soft?? put it this way mate, they will be coming off as soon as i get some decent koni/spax suspension. karl
  19. howdy, i have a V1 mate, i have a bailey recirculating valve, i have never seen a charger with a BOV to be honest (could be wrong though) as for the maf mate, vince can re-map the vr's with the maf or without it, generally he does them without the maf. but give vince a ring and he will tell ya more then you will need. or ya could go through the 140 page thread on the forced induction vr6 thread. you may not get to sleep before 4 though  karl
  20. i have been informed by the leather company, that is will dye black/light grey 100% the same colour, you may have a problem say with black and white, it also depends on what colour your going to dye. i still cant decide though what colour to go for, :? i will be doing the doorcards, and will be doing the gearstick gaitor the same colour. but will be keeping the black plastics black, i think that will break it up nicely. so anybody else fancy saying what colour they think. karl
  21. well from what i have been told by the company, its very easy to do. and the colouring will last between 7 to 10 years, depending on how much you use the car, the full kit is £80 delivered. and it should be done in 2 days easily. karl
  22. i have my freshly trimmed recaro's sat in the garage,(dark grey) have a rear bench coming on monday (light grey) and black door cards, all bought for a very very good price, especially as the fronts are brand new. so gonna get one of these leather colouring kits http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/index.htm but cant decide on what colour to do my seats in :? i have narrowed it down to. biscuit, burnt orange, doe grey, blood red, my corrado is moonlight blue, so what colour leather would you think is best? please click on the pics for the correct shade, as for some reason the shades look different when i have posted the pics :? karl
  23. £3750  whats wrong with it  that is a real new years bargain.
  24. i bought some freshly trimmed recaro's last week, knew i could not get recaro subframes. so got 2 corrado seat bases, and simply welded them onto the bottoms of the recaros :) i still have the usual corrado seat adjustment, plus i'm 6ft 2" and i still have enough head room, so all you short people will be fine.
  25. no doubt for me it's Eleanor, saw one at last years classic car show nearly had a wet boxer moment, there is also one about 5 miles from me, the owner is a really nice bloke, but he hasn't let me in it yet :(
