  7. when is the money shot coming then Andy :norty:
  8. sorry to hear of your loss Jay, its always the good ones that go early.
  9. if psi used the standard vr6 front engine mount on the install then yes it will be at an angle mate, when i first put the r32 into mine it was at an angle?? i then measured how far off centre the engine mount was in comparism to when it was on the 12v, and it was a huge 30mm further over to the offside so causing the engine to lean towards the nearside. it never went further than this for obvious reasons.
  10. cheers Charlie, if the spacer gasket is ok i will most def take it off your hands mate :salute: and yeh tim had told me that the r32 was running kinda ok but just needed some final fettling, as for the vrt conversion i have spent a grand total of £870 and all i need is a spacer gasket and some form of cooling?? but i'm just going for an intercooler as i'm not going to pay for the cost of using a chargecooler. and yeh i would just love a go in yours when its properly run in mate :D
  11. i'm going to be getting the standard 12v engine i bought running first on OBD2 managment, then over xmas install all the turbo parts i'm slowly collecting :)
  12. if your busy Charlie and havent got the time to get the remaining 900 miles done mate, i have NOOOOO problem helping you achieve that, i cant promise i could/would stay under 3000rpm though  i will have to meet you soon, as this is exactly what i want mine to be when i do go turbo.
  13. hi dave, yeh if you keep them there please as i will be passing yours next friday, so get the kettle on and i will bring the bikkies :)
  14. yeh i understand that Tom, but when you take a car in that has a perfectly good working ECU etc etc, and after 2 months all that happens is that you have to go down there and pick the car up on a trailer because the ECU is fooked, and all you get is well i dont know what happened, then you find out from the manufacturer that the ECU is of no use apart fom being used as a paper weight YOU would be not happy either mate. i think i'm going down there in the next 2 weeks, as i have things to say....
  15. i had a phone call yesterday from Tim at The Phirm, to tell me that the R32 i sold is know 100% running perfectly, it needed a new DTA ecu as the one i bought from Kev is completly knackered, and for some reason that even DTA cant explain, is when it was at stealth and vince decided for some f*****g stupid reason to change all of Tims wiring from running batched firing to sequintial firing :cuckoo: , the DTA is for some reason stuck in the mode for running a v8?? and it cannot accept any inputs at all. so i will have to help out the guy who bought my engine etc etc in purchasing hes new ecu, so cheers Vince, you have cost me more money. its also amazing how many pm's i have received by people on here about some right nightmares that they have received from stealth also, so at least its not just me. on a plus note, the new engine is all painted/powder coated and will hopefully be fitted into the car next weekend :D karl
  16. it should bolt up behind the head, so no idea why you have it near the oil cooler?? i will take a pic tomorrow where mine is situated.
  17. get the spark plugs for a new m3 mate, the standard pulgs used in the r32's are known for throwing the end of the spark plugs, plus the m3 plugs run slightly colder than the r32 ones so cold start is better with those plugs, i paid £32 for all 6 from halfords, these were the ones i was using http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-E46-M3-M-3-20 ... 286.c0.m14
  18. one that's running would do at the moment :(
  19. Mmmmmm an r32 not firing on all 6 cylinders? sounds familiar mate, i'm sure it's just a coincidence though!
  20. cars looking a million dollars Faye, bet your well pleased :)
  21. that's what happens when you agree to the word comitment kev :(
  22. it had its last proper service done at skoda at 66k, but i did my own service on the car about 3 months ago. i'm colour blind, but i have been informed its a bronzy/red colour?? if you want more pics just let me no mate. oh yeh it wont be available for about 2 weeks as the ultra reliable bmw 330d i bought has broken down big style :( the skoda had been sitting on my parents drive for 6 weeks, first turn of the key and it started up just perfect. i'm thinking if i'm selling the right car at the minute :(
  23. nice mk1 mate, in the 2nd pic are you seeing if the baby seat will fit ok in it
