well at the moment just bought a 2nd hand ATP cast manifold, i will see how much i can go vrt for, as some of you may know i'm fairly good at finding the bargains :lol: just thinking about the cooling side of things and what do you all think would be the minimum/safe size for an intercooler?? i WONT be going for massive BHP, i think around the 325/350 bhp will ge fine for me, and will be going for a gt30?? so the boost starts early. karl

gonna be sweet when done mate, Can you use the 24v starter motor with an 02A gearbox and 12v flywheel? Now sure what differences there are to the 12v one... answer is no mate, the 24v starter motor has a completely different sprocket for the flywheel For Mk5 engines without aircon, what belt can you use? you need a 6PK1264 belt mate, you can get one from GSF for about £12 Does the oil filter housing/oil cooler allow fitment of a thermostatic plate straight on - that would be used with say a Mocal cooler? if you use a 12v oil filter housing you can then fit a mocal oilcooler kit hope that helps a bit??

DONT got to storm etc etc and buy the kit mate, theres a place called TTS near silverstone which will supply you the charger/cooler etc etc at a very good price, theres also a near new c30-94 on e-bay at the moment :) as for the mounting bracket, there was a place in holland called R-TECH?? who sold the brackets for the 24v engines, but i dont think there still around?? you could always get a knackered 24v engine and fabricate your own brackets and then make some more and sell them on?? oh yeh on the 24v engines you dont need to grind off any part of the engine. karl

and if you want an engine stand i have a brand new one available mate, and four bolts on the gearbox side is plenty safe mate, my old vr6 and the r32 of doom were both on my old engine stand for ages with four bolts holding it safely. karl

been thinking about the black centres mate, and i dont think it would look as good as having the centres powder coated a bright silver with a polished lip, just think theres loads of bbs etc etc with black centres and a polished lip. just my 2p.
