Hiya, I have a set with tyres. 4 stud pattern. Pics can be seen in the following link.....looking for £600. My Corrado has been sold so the wheels are sitting all polished up ready to go. I'm in the Glasgow area. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?34389-Jules-16V-Rado Julie
  2. Hi, I have one from a 1991...not sure if there was any difference in them, but you can let me know if you want it?
  3. Got no chance of that happening. He'd probably get rid of me first lol
  4. Hi Guys, thanks for all your replies. I got some serious thinking to do. Some of you made some valid points and I agree with most of them lol. I know it sounds crazy to break a perfectly good car, but to see someone buy it and let it go downhill would be a sad thing to see too. I guess if I was selling it to someone who would appreciate it they way I have it might not be so difficult to let it go. I'm actually the Mummy and not the Daddy lol. I've also thought about just keeping the car so that maybe at some point in the future I could put it back on the road, but my husband has a mk2 gold and a Jetta. I now have an Audi A4, so it makes no sense to have 4 cars! What I found a struggle about getting the baby carrier in and out the back is the height of the roof. It leaves very little room to get the carrier into the base and I mostly had to sit in the back seat and lift the carrier at an angle which is not very easy especially as she is getting heavier. I took all my sounds out of the boot so getting the pram in and out was no problem at all. I did think about the time involved too in breaking the car and at the moment my time is limited which would make it difficult. It's more than just a car though, its the memories, places I've been to in it and car shows etc etc that all add up to it being so difficult to let it go. It's part of the family. It's still sitting in its spot in the drive at the moment and I guess that I'll try keep it there as long as finances allow
  5. The time has come for me to seriously think of either selling my Corrado or breaking it. I dont want to do either but I had a baby recently, and I bought another car so that it was a bit easier to get the baby in and out. The Corrado is now sitting off the road and I don't see me putting it back on the road as the finances won't allow it once I start part time hours at work. There is nothing wrong with the car at all. It starts first time every time, and in the 13 years I've had it, it has let me down three times...one of those times being a flat battery which is nothing. I don't think I could see someone else drive the car as I know I'd want it back lol. So my only option it seems is to break it. The question is what would give me the most money? Can someone who has already stripped their car and sold the parts give me a rough idea what I'd get? It is a 1991 16v with 120K. Also to go are RH ZW1's if I can bring myself to sell them too lol. I've been trying to make a decision for weeks and still can't do it! Every time I look at the car I get a lump in my throat at the thought of parting with it lol :-(
  6. Lol well spotted. I'm still deciding whether to sell or break it. My reasons for braking it isnt because it's not running or anything. It's a great car, I just don't think I can bring myself to sell it as a whole car and see someone else driving it as I'd just want it back lol. The plates are getting moved onto the Audi which is my new car for the moment, although it's yet to grow on me lol. I'm just too hung up on the Corrado, but a baby has changed things a bit and the Audi is definitely easier for the time being. After having it for 13 years its a big decision to make :( :?
  7. Took a minute to register it was you :) Not seen yours around in a while, everything okay with it?
  8. Saw a grey Corrado last night...L Reg driving up Airbles Road in Motherwell....I was right behind you p.s. your rear passenger brake light is out :)
  9. Hi Guys, I am looking for some help! Due to a stuck drivers window and after reading some posts on corrado 'window issues', I bought a second hand window mechanism which my hubby has fitted this morning, however the window still won't work! The relay (if that is what its called)in the rear quarter is clicking away but still the window will not go up or down, Any ideas what else it could be? We have looked at the wiring and can't see any breakages anywhere either.....any suggestions would be appreciated so that we can get it fixed asap, Thanks
  10. Right here's some pics I managed to get today when it was quite bright, and they look really poor. I could get away with these at night time I think, but not so sure on a bright day. I think I might need to try different LED bulbs
  11. I'll try to get some in the daylight
  12. Thanks guys I managed to find the pic from mariojosh's post and I've managed to solder it correctly and it's worked. I'm just not sure the lights are bright enough though.
  13. I should have explained what it is I'm trying to do :) I have resistors to fit ...due to me putting in LED bulbs in the rear indicator lights. So I need to know which wires are the live and earth. I don't have a multimeter and thought that someone might have been able to tell me going by the colours of the wires?
  14. I don't have a clue with electricals so can anyone help? I need to know which cables going into the rear lights are the live and earth. I think the brown cable is the earth??
  15. I also bought these LED bulbs on Ebay and fitted them today. They flash orange no problem through my red lights which I recently painted with several layers of tint, but they need resistors as they are flashing at twice the speed they should. I will buy the white ones for the reverse lights next.....heres a pic of how red my lights are, and the orange shines through no problem
  16. Henk, I'm in the other direction, sort of. Over the Motherwell area. I'm usually out and about somewhere or at shows :)
  17. Nice looking car 8) Might end up spotting you one of these days

    Dodgy horn

Guys, thanks for your replies. The contacts all seem to be okay inside the steering wheel but will check for anything that might be shorting, or like you say Dinkus, a bad earth.

    Dodgy horn

Not a Corrado problem but a mk2 one this time. For some reason the horn has decided to play up. It sometimes works, then it doesnt. The times when it doesn't work the revs go up, and if you put all the lights on i.e. headlamps and fogs then it definitely doesnt work...until you put them off again. Also if you put the hazard lights on, as soon as you press the horn they freeze and then start again when you take your hand off the horn! Any thoughts what this could be? Maybe new fuse box needed, or some old wiring needing renewed? Earth straps have all been renewed Thanks

    Help needed!

Hi Deggsy, have you managed to get this sorted yet? If not let me know and I will pm you my husbands phone number. We are not that far from Edinburgh, but he is pretty sure he can tell you over the phone how to sort it.
  21. Well I have to say that I really like the look of it and I'm looking forward to seeing the real thing, rather than just a picture of it. From the pics I have seen so far I prefer it in red and I just think it has a nice mean look to the front of it. I can see this being a possible option when my Corrado goes to the big car park in the sky :( which hopefully wont be for a while yet though!
  22. Nice pics Andy and the car is looking good. 8)
  23. Afer spending some time cleaning yesterday, I thought I'd post up some pics of the interior for a change. I have tried to keep the inside as original as possible and have managed to get the majority of the marks off from when it went into the paint shop. It was mainly just dust and some oily finger marks but anyway, here it is..
