Thanks for the silver lining...

Oh, plus the fact that I have to think twice getting into it when the temperature up here is so cold!

Thanks again! Got most of the inside trim done this morning. Knowing this forum is so active was the only reason I began to tackle the job...
-
Ok, thanks for that elaboration :) My next question is the obvious one - are there many on the inside?
-
No, can you elaborate a little please :)

Thanks! Wasn't sure what sort of connection it had on the heater side and if I would be doing damage when turning the bolt. Can you advise if there are more than those 2 bolts - engine side - in order to get the dash out? Thanks!

Biting the bullet and doing my heater matrix! Got a bunch done this morning, but hit a snag. The lower of the two bolts that's in the engin bay beside the heat shield. The nut has rusted on the bolt and both are turning when the socket is on it! What's the options for getting it out?

Looks like there two different pump shafts - one is 3mm gap and the other is 14mm. I was supplied with 14mm and when I offered it up saw the pulley was out by 11mm. Have to wait a couple of days for this one to get here...

It's for early 1990 KR

Got it from Dingbro

Need some advice. Just tried to fit a new power steering pump and it looks like the shaft where the pulley bolts on to is about 10mm too long. The old pump is gone as it was an exchange item. Is this common to find this? Thanks!

Perfect, many thanks! Will send a PM.

Looking to do my heater matrix and know there are a few bits on the heater box that need replacing. The lever arm that sits on the left side of the box. It has a cable attached to one end and the other end is rounded and toothed. Sorry for the description I hope you know what I am talking about... If I need to get a complete box that's fine as long as it's fully working and ready to fit. I have a 1990 1.8 16v. Thanks!

ended up transplanting the old pulley onto the new alternator. I noticed the new one was about 5mm longer in the shaft so would not have lined up straight. Was a little tricky to get the pulley off, same as suspension top mounts with alen key through the socket.
-
The pulley? It is a v-belt, so one groove I'm guessing...

Just about to replace my alternator and noticed the pulley on my new one is slightly smaller than my old one. I am thinking I can simply adjust and take up the bit of extra slack? Am I right in thinking this or should I not even try? The alternator bodies and fixings are identical, just the pulley is a little smaller. Thanks in advance!

Thanks to Cressa, I now only need the Offside/Drivers indicator light. If anyone has one I would love to hear from you - thanks!

Just lost my drivers side door speaker cover! I did hear something get blown out of the car, but wasn't till later that I noticed it was actually the speaker cover. Don't know if there are different colours or if they are all black? My trim are all black. Thanks!
