  7. sounds like either a dodgy control unit or worn contact plate inside the wiper housing that tells the control module what position the wiper is in does it sort of jitter and stop in odd positions as well?

  21. the proper tool locates into two grooves in the caliper piston face and a plate that sits opposite the piston in the pad carrier, and as you wind the tool in it pushes the piston in while turning it at the same time. the first time i changed my rear pads i made a tool myself by grinding down one of my brothers large snap on sockets  so it sat securely in the grooves with no risk of damaging the bore or piston but it did take ages and hurt my hand too much  when i was winding it in, it was'nt really worth the hastle and the last time i changed them i went and bought the proper tool which took half the time.
  22. chainspotting is a classic and its got great music too, shame its not availiable on dvd though :( i was watching a documentary the other day which explained that the music industry is making far more profit from people downloading music (even with the piracy losses) that they ever did with cassettes, vinyl (ask your parents) or cd's with downloads there are far less packaging and printing costs so therefore more proffit its all just media hype to try and destroy the p2p sites
  23. does look like a worthy successor to j-dub 8) could start a new thread for name suggestions for the new motor, i take it its a she?

    Bonnet Vents

i was just thinking if you where tanking it down one of those 4 lane private roads  and a water hose or expansion cap failed the cabin would fill up with steam pretty quickly and leave you with bugger all visability. could using some good size ducting from the top rear of the engine bay to underneath the car not draw plenty of hot air out of the engine bay ?
