Update when scaring l found a fault on the engine temperature sensor,looks like a new one fitted When checking l found the wiring to the switch had fell apart.carry out repair hopefully that my be the fault

Nobody's interested in the headlight parts,As l have seen a classic car that l am interested in the corrado will be up for sale soon

OK .had a fault on cold starting l think l have got that sorted ? When out in the Corrado 2.0 16v 1993 today ok on cold start runs spot on stop for 5 minutes starts ok (Engine warm). Stop go get some petrol will not start (engine hot).this is interment fault happens when at a car show or getting petrol at the places you can not carry out checks.can get the engine to start on full throttle cranking for a minute or two (have a 720 amp fitted)Got it home stop engine wait for 5 minutes engine starts ok.got it to none start outside the house.So when none start the fans run with the ignition on.got a very good spark,removed spark plug spark plug dry.fuel pump new and working.got the engine started ( as above)the engine stars ok after turn it off and restart ok Sorry for the long rant :bonk::scratch::dance:

The head light is from a 1993 If you look at eBay item number 172782894506 all the information is there or text thanks Dox for putting that on hear as l have no clue Cheers

Have parts from a O/S headlight it is on eBay for £23.50 + post If abody on hear whoud like to have it you can have the parts for £18.00 + post or yon can pick up or will drop off if you are by Liverpool.you can text on 07715530525 NOTE so some reason l can not post photos.

Been playing with the corrado,When start the engine is was like a engine misfire.so got a new dizzy not the fault.I did borrow a scanner after l got the dizzy.see above.Before l removed the switches l found that the front micro was not clicking when throttle was moved. Removed the switchs and checked.refitted the switchs adjusted the front switch so when moved throttle the switch now clicks. The engine now starts and runs spot on.will have to borrow the scanner again to check it out If abody needs a good working dizzy l have one.

I work for a Renault dealership,when l get a Renault magane doing this it is corroded wiring as a the reg is not getting a command to send the windows up,this may be different on a VW.Have you tryed window switches.as you say the motors are ok as it will go up on a separate feed. Get a wiring dieagram and start checking the wiring.l have been 8 hours on one car sorting the wiring out. So allow some time for the checks Best of luck. When you find it let us know.

Check out the wiring connections are not Corrored and not spread apart going to the window motors Also check the wiring in the rubber sleeve from the A post to door + wiring blocks

I have just scanned the corrado 1993 2.0 16 value with a sanp on scanner Have got a permanent fault 00516 CLOSED THROTTLE (IDLE)POSITION SWITCH (F60)OPEN CIRCUIT/SHORT WITH POWER This is the code l got of the sanp on scanner,Is it the the 2 micro switches that are on the throttle body or something else,l have removed the micro switchs ,have 12 volt reading on the gray wiring uesing the centre wire as the earth,also got a reading from the rear switch on the throttle body but no reading from the front micro switch. if anyone knows,has a switch/sensor ect for sale,can please let me know :scratch:

Have got he 2x2 adapted trayed a sanpno scanner did not work. Do not wish to pay out £130 + for a scanner that may not work It will be cheaper to go the vw place Have checked the forum but not found a similar problem ( see first post) As l new to Corrados any information even you think it is sutiped reply,go for it

New dizzy fitted no more oil leaks,hopefully no more none starts, hard starts,cutting out Set the timing to 6 BTDC is correct

Anybody by Liverpool that can scann my Corrado,l have a fly lead 2x2 ,bought a scanner but will not work on a 1993 2.0 16 vavle Corrado will drive to you on the weekend

Anboby uesing a scanner that's works on a 1993 2.0 corrado PS no question is silly as sometimes you can over look what is right front of you

I am new to corrado myself so can't help you a lot but l say the fan fuse is a 20 amp as it pulls a lot of currant., Check the leads to the battery,Sorry l can not be more help

Have got a interment runing fault on my 1993 2.0 16 value.also have a oil leak around the dizzy. Had a look on eBay found a new dizzy for £44.95 all in Hopefully this will cure the runing fault, as the scanner l got will not communicate with the Corrado :dance:

Yes,ignition on, l think the software is not compatible with a early car I thought it might because it is a 16 pin.but l will use it on something else

Have just got a scanner and a adapter lead,the scanner will not communicate with the corrado It is a cheep scanner it will go through the start up sequence but will communicate So the question is what scanners will communicate with a Corrado (that doesn't cost a weeks wages) What scanners are people using :scratch:

Had he Corrado out today it was a bit warm (2.0 16v) The temperature on the dash reads when hot 75 to 85 degrees The fan can still run when engine switch off Hope this helps

I have NO ABS light on dash, the light comes on when the engine is cranked, when the engine stars no ABS light on dash,The bulb is ok. when remove the wiring block from the ABS pump the ABS light works Turn the ignition on can feel the pump self testing though the brake padel (light knock) start engine can feel the pump self testing though the brake padel(light knock) Also where can l get a scanner to carry out a test on the ABS, engine ect,l have had a look on eBay but can only find 16 plan condition as my Corrado has 2 wiring block by the gear lever :dance:

Update, turn on the ignition on,no ABS light, crank the engine ABS light on when cranking,engine starts no ABS light on,Removed the wiring block from the ABS pump light on dash,Have not been out in the car to see if the ABS works on the road but never had to use it so don't know if it has ever worked The engine starts and runs grand
