I seen this somewhere,so l though I try. When you lock the Corrado and hold the key over all the windows, sunroof closed For a 1993 car that is quite impressive Every day a school day :thumbleft:

Yes 800 RPM just checking to see if anyone looking Engine runs spot on from cold,I think the snapped wiring is why it was cutting out
-
Got a in tank fuel pump fitted ,start engine idles at 11,000 RPM when getting warm Got a fault CLOSE THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH OPEN CIRCUIT,SHORT WITH POWER (sanp on scanner) Check the wiring to,the throttle switch, remove the tape from the wiring ,checked the wiring found the blue wire snapped, carried out repair and now starts and idles at 8,000 RPM So l think l have sorted the idle fault
-
So now the fuel tank is empty, clean out the tank and it’s dry,did find dirt in the bottom of the tank Just waiting for the pump to arrive
-
l have a 2.0 16 v which l am happy to have (even whit the bonnet open all the time but as this time doing wiring inside the car .the joys of classes cars)why previous owners do things right.sorry on a range Saturday night got beer inside me But it seams that lt that the is not a lot out there, only seams to be v6 that has a few issues
-
Removed the tank sender unit today and found a bit of sponge inside the fuel tank Have ordered a in tank fuel pump so hopefully all sorted ? Just got the gear linkage to do,Deep joy
-
My Corrado is a 2.0. 16 v so it is just above the gearbox, the previous owner did tell me about the interment starting fault and he had replaced all the sensors except the TDC sensor. Did you pull back the rubber cover and check the wiring condition
-
I have not read all the replies,so this may have been covered I did have a fault when engine hot, engine starts when it felt like it.l found the wining to the temperature switch where corroded and that’s why l had my starting faults, you can not see the wiring connection Pull on the wiring to the the temperature switch gently and see if wiring is secure

I work for a Renault dealership and the larger brake pipe union is the brake fluid feed from the brake master clylinder. Which allows more brake fluid though. But this may not be the case for VW.
-
Why when the alarm stops working do people just cut and shove the wiring out the way instead of Removeing the thing. The wiring for the radio come out of the dash about 18 inches, the alarm wiring still had a live feed to it. I am surprised it did not go on fire.Still have to sort the wiring on the n/s front yet
-
I am now onVW Corrado chat If anyone interested about the radio/window tint you can look there or l can repost any photos
-
Got mine from eBay,good match ,ok for paint chips
-
Cheers for the information, had a look found it under the brake master clylinder
