  1. Does this apply to a 2.0 16 V. I Have removed the battery to carry out work over the winter
  2. That will bring the brakes on ,as the water heats up it will expand and apply the brakes

  5. I whoud go the fast and inexpensive way and go for a servo pipe, then servo, The servo has water in it,the vavle inside the servo may jamming

Engine NOT running,pump the brake padel to evacuate the air from the servo the brake padel should be hard With your foot on the brake padel start the engine and the brake padel should drop about 1 inch more or less.also check that the mechanism on the brake padel are not jamming,sized. Check the servo pipe poss vavle sticking I don't think the ABS fault will lock the brakes sounds more like a mechanical fault

  10. Mine is 8 foot by 21 foot a bit snug when working on one side but you work with what you got
  11. Hi l have a 2.0 16V Corrado in excellent condition..the is no rust on this car I will be putting it on eBay on Saturday afternoon 10/09/17 for £4,000 have a look see what you think Most of the information is on there
  12. Is the anywhere that you can fit a pressure gauge on the power steering system and see what pressure readings that you get I have had this problem before (on a Renault)the NEW pump was giving the incorrect pressure to the system

Sorry l was reply to fla post On your Corrado fist check the battery out.then check thr leads to the body,engine,battery are clean and in good condition and secure Check that no leads,starter motor are getting hot when the engine is cracked when hot Check feeds to the stater motor 12 volt on trigger wire when engine cranked 12 volt on the main lead and about 10.8 volt on cranking. If all checks out remove the starter motor and get it check out Hope this is some help to you

I had this on my 2.0 16 V ,lots of engine cranking battery going flat,fitted new battery sill the same when the engine its starts runs ok After checking l found that the wiring to the engine temperature sensor had fell off inside the rubber boot that covers the wiring After carried out the wiring repair starts when hot Note the engine did start form hot then next time whoud not start from hot

  17. The Corrado will be on eBay on Saturday so don't miss out as the price will be going up If anybody near Liverpool ( by junction 5 of the M 62)in the Corrado club are welcome come and have a look and give a report on the corrado and post up l am more than happy to show the Corrado off

OK update,The good news,The Corrado has passed the MOT so it has 13 months MOT Just got new front brake calipers,have ordered full stateless steel brake hoses so will come with the new parts + 2 litres of brake fluid So the price has gone up to £3,500 Was going to put the price at £3,700 but the rear calipers best be replaced( can get calipers on eBay for £36.00 all in) I was going to do this anyway Just found vw corrado uk Facebook,so l will put photos up on their if anyone interested
  19. It's a 24 year old Corrado and the is NO RUST on this car I can not load up photos on to this site, but if anyone interested in seeing some photos I can load onto Facebook. I have put some photos of the centre console mod on Facebook

The handbrake cover has been very wobbley and get right on me tit.Removed the hand brake cover today to check it out, No secureing nuts/clips to hold it place.4 nuts/clips on the lower part So cut the ridges on the inside of the cover then glue( use very strong glue l used windscreen bound) washers where the cut outs are.Then you just fit it as normal.The washers then go over the small studs that the secureing nuts go on to.The washers jam on the studs that are welded to the floor Now the cover is very secure
