Nothing absolutely nothing have not had the bonnet open for a month now It’s behaving,drives excellent,getting a bit worried -

Replace the gearbox oil on the Corrado today,like having a new gearbox,slick as snot on the way home It’s Renault gearbox oil NFP 75w90 ll think.can check tomorrow if anybody what’s more information Have put this on Facebook as l can post photos

Alternator cable routing and exciter wire connection (KR)

If you check the output you at the back of the alternator that will give the correct reading from the alternator the thick red wiring -
This forum is better than Facebook, but l can not load photos on here (not computer literate) Am selling my Corrado but not interested (not putting on eBay to much like hard work),if l could put photos on here l think it will sell as it is in excellent condition

That is low voltage is the fan / v belt tight,what battery have you fitted Check all earths,condition of the wiring When l got my Corrado it had a 380 am fitted had all kinds of problems got 600am battery fitted now a lot better

Is the a yearly Corrado,VW meet if so where about,what is the date,and do you have to a full member to get in and camp

I have one for sale in Liverpool,can send a video ,2.0 16 v 1993 152,000 miles on the clock The corrado is in excellent condition a lot of history,lots of new parts, engine runs great,no oil leaks,coolant leaks ,if you want more information text me on 07715530525 Wayne

Check the wiring to the oil pressure switchs ,blue one ? yellow one ? where the wiring runs by the rad fan I got 2 switchs for about £15.00, but my switchs where ok

If you have welding gear you can try welding a nut on to the snapped bolt,the heat of the welding may crack the rust on the snapped bolt

The none start has only happened once,that’s when the abs light went weird The engine starts and runs spot on,the abs works as it should, It doesn’t bother me just wondering if it was a serious fault So the ignition switch may be a fault

When the ignition is on no abs light on,when cranking the engine abs light on,gos out when engine starts,don’t know if this is normal as everything works as it should Can feel the light knock though the brake padel x 2 which is normal??

Corrado 2.0 16 v 1993 This is a strange one ,about 8/9 months ago drove the Corrado home from work running ok Stop on the road to open the garage door,tryed to start the engine none start No abs light on ,crank the engine abs light comes on Had a quick check still none start,the next day morning engine starts a runs ok ( have found more wiring faults and repairs carried out over the winter)the car starts on the button now The is no faults in the abs system,engine system.the abs is all working fine the bulb is lighting up it’s that abs light only comes on when cranking the engine when the engine starts the light goes off Anyone come across this before

If you soldier a test light to the blown fuse (2 wires to a side light)when you put the test light into the fuse which keeps blowing it will be very bright, When you remove wiring,switches to find the dead short the bulb will go dim when you find the dead short Hope this makes sense bit hard to describe on here

Manual vacuum brake bleeder recommendations

I use gravity to bleed brakes,clutch systems works fine for me Get a clear tube go from the bleed nipple into a container,crack the bleed nipple then get a cup of tea -
If you are joining wiring Renault do a soldering join which is water proof and use a cigarette lighter to soldier together,They a very good,very easy to use,If interest let me know and l will get the part number on Tuesday If you find that the wiring is corroded go to a scrap yard and cut of some wiring loom ends ,removed the pins from the looms and refit to your loom. Hope this makes sense

Yes that is correct,don’t over tighten the belt

I did replace the front engine mount by jacking the engine up just enough to replace the front mount which was the easy one to fit

I am only guessing but l think that is 3 bolts holding the pump on Have a look at the top of the pump the may be one there

I have a 2.0 16 v 1993 Corrado,Looking to wire in the alarm to central locking Look on hear found some information but no PIN number information So had a go at finding the correct wiring Unlock red/ black wire-is pin 10 Lock red/ yellow wire-is pin 7 The pins location is o/s rear 1/4 going to the air pump Does anyone know the what wire operations the full window closed
