Sounds like your thermostat has given up Dan, same thing happened to me not so long ago, steam coming out of the expansion tank !! Don't let it get too hot if you're thinking of driving it somewhere to get it fixed, you'll cook it !! Get it towed if you can. Keep an eye on your oil temp too mate, not sure if you know but with G60's its not good to rev them past 3 grand until your oil temp is up to about 90. The oil pressure is low until then and your Supercharger won't like it, it's fed on your engine oil .... Good to keep an eye on all the time really, especially as you're running a small pulley and chip. Do you know if you have a bigger oil cooler fitted ?? Hope you get it sorted..... Matt

Can't beat 16 or 17" RS', they are subtle and look stock, they're light and don't look cheap.

They're $180000 here in Australia!!, absolutely love them myself, along with the R8 too. What did suprise me was just how quick a Veyron is next to one, RS4's are blindingly fast, saw a vid on youtube with a Veyron against an R8 which really put into perspective just how quick they really are !! Its ridiculous !! The Veron just dissapears !!

Mine gets driven daily, i was living in Sydney for the 1st year and a half of moving here, all i did was sit in traffic basically, i only put about 4-5K on it and got frustrsted that i hardly even got into 5th gear!! Now i'm living in the country which is full of twisty roads, so much fun, i have a 20 minute drive down empty roads to work and back, just have to watch for Kangaroos in the mornings......... I want to have mine as a weekend car in the next couple of years though.

How much does one of those cost ?? Do you need a U-Bend like you would on a Rallye ?? Any cutting etc needed to get it in??

Hi mate. RS 301's have 34 bolts, and are 5x100. No RS' have 34 bolts and are 4x100. RS 003's are 16' 4x100 with 30 bolts, the same as the 15' instars. RS off a Porsche are 16" with 34 bolts and are 5x130, and can be used with adapters because thr ET is around 52 or something.... The outer rims look small compared to 17's so guess you could put 17" outers on ..... If you want 17" on a G60. the other way is to do a 5 stud conversion and get 301's..... Hope that made sense !!!!

Hi all, having a small nightmare this weekend, my Battery decided to give up, got the NRMA (same as the RAC) out to get it going, was all good until he decided to clean the Battery terminals, as soon as it was disconnected the alarm started. As soon as i connect the Battery back up it goes off, and i don't have the remote for it anymore !! Never use the thing, i've found some keys that might turn it off but can't find a keyhole anywhere ......... As i never use it, how easy is it to disconnect ? Any help much appreciated Matt

Hi mate, i shipped my G60 over about a year and a half ago now ....... Walsey is right, you need to own it for a year before shipping it, but you do have to be in the UK (they check every page page of your passport) and insured with the car before you can get import approval. I shipped mine with http://www.karmanshipping.co.uk and had no problems, it costs a bit after paying taxes etc over here but you can fill the car with personal effects which is cool ....... Cheers guys, i had pattern VW coils after the first original one let me down, not sure what brand they are (no name stamped on them). I never sit around with the ignition on, i sit in traffic a bit sometimes, nothing major though. Maybe if this one lets go then i'll try an electronic one. I'll post if it fry's another one !1 Cheers.

Mines not far off standard either, just a bit lower with RS's which look very similar to the standard G60 BBS. Engines standard apart from a Stage 4 charger.

Cheers guys. i don't have another ECU to try but maybe the relay is worth a try ?? Would the car run like a bag of poo if it was knackered ?? The coil thats on there is still working, nearly a week now. Someone suggesting putting an electronic coil on, is that worth a go ?? Assuming the one thats on there isn't electronic ?? Dumbo questions !!

:?: :?: Funny one this, my coil decided not to work back in June, replaced it, all was good until a couple of months later when my Hall Sender decided to die. Replaced it, about a day later it fryed another coil, replaced that, all good until i decided to drive the car for more than 40 minutes or so, then it packed up on me again !!! :mad: This kept happening, drive it for 40-50 minutes and it would die whilst idling, leave it for between 1-4 minutes and it would run perfectly. For the last month or so i've been replacing parts trying to find the problem, yesterday i put a second hand coil on and its fine again, went for a 3 hour drive problem free. I've had the charge out of the alternator checked and all seems pretty standard. Is it going to fry another one ?? Any ideas why this could be happening ?? Any ideas much appreciated 8)

Ha ha !! Same !! My girlfriend used to get jealous cos i 'stroked my car' more than i did her !! Then i took it to Australia with me and left her behind !!
