  1. (If i was allowed to join in :) ) TF, from Reading, to Ipswich, then to Sydney, roughly 10000 miles, on the other side of the planet !! I'm the winner
  2. OSV put some 8' rears on his without any arch work. But if you want to go low like RSVR6, i'm pretty sure he had his rolled and even pulled out a touch.
  3. Looking good mate, i love the RS, but it will be cool to have something different, the OZ's will look really good, keep us updated !!
  4. Agree with you on that one gradeAfailure, we have similar rules in Australia, everything that is an after market car part has to be tested etc, but we don't have to carry certificates. Spacers and adapters are illegal but people still use them. Not quite as strict as the deutchie's - but i think its a good thing.
  5. The OZ's look really nice mate, don't like many 5 spokers myself but these are, errrr, really nice !! So all you need to do now is put those 301's in a suitcase and come and see us, please !
  6. Thats interesting carpy25, never knew that.
  7. Cheers for replys guys, kind of helps, anyone for anymore ?? Yeah i did here that some Chargers had 6 port diffusers instead of 4, but wasn't the 6 port part of the '92 revision?, meaning the first G60's had the 6 port ??
  8. Love the MK2 mate looks nice. Funny to see a pic of the shell garage aswell !! (Used to live there !)
  9. VR6 Radiators are 630mm ,the same as a VR6.
  10. The Golf Rallye and G60 FMIC locate into the that cross member, not sure how others do it or if you can get a Rallye one in there ?? Heres a German how-to with pics ...... http://www.corrado-psychopath.de/9254.html EDIT , don't think that link works anymore, sorry
  11. Time for one of my stupid questions, whats the difference beetween the Rallye G60 engine and the Corrado G60 engines. All i can think of is; Different CC ? The Corrado is 1781, is the Rallye different ?? Its an IH block instead of a PG right ?? Whats the difference. Big Front Mount Intercooler and larger Radiator. Did the Rallye put out more BHP than the Corrado And just to make it more complicated, what about the Golf G60, is that different to the Corrado and the Rallye again ?? Cheers dudes.

    Storm

Does yours have Air-Con sally, lovely looking Corrado !
  13. Just had a look in the guide to Storms in the Knowledge base and it doesn't say anything about it, did they come with A/C as standard ?? And as an option on the VR6 ??
  14. Once it comes through the membrane, itgoes through the speaker then under your front carpet, then runs down to your rear carpet. My Golf used to have a huge puddle in the back when it hammered it down .
  15. Runs down the inside of your window first, then behind your doorcard you have a waterproof membrane that is prone to leak. Happened to my Mk2 Golf and there was Corrado in the garage with the same problem .....
  16. Cool new website Darren, will make things easier for me !! Did you ever get the pipework sorted for Rallye FMIC mod ?? Couldn't see it on the site ??
  17. Whether thats real or not i think it looks awesome.
  18. Trying to find out if its possible myself. Supercharged reckons he's seen one with a VR Radiator, VR Radiators are the same as Golf Rallyes, 630mm wide with the hoses both on the right. Can't see it being a problem apart from the Slam Panel brackets, but i'm sure you could make something up.
  19. Nice pics mate, weather amazing here aswell, but a bit too hot for the G60, the sun has melted the top of my door card trims !! Small Radiator can't cope with the heat either. Agree with you on it not being a luck thing, took me over 3 years to get my Australian residency sorted !!
  20. Hi mate, well the story at the mo is that i've found a guy over here that gets a container full of parts every 2 weeks from Germany and UK and can get very good prices on anything i want. I told him that VW quoted me here, which suggests it must be available, and the story from your side. (Starky phoned Colchester VW and was told that its obsolete aswell). So... he's tryed to get a price but hasn't heard anything from them, sounding like its obsolete again ! Now i've heard that the VR6 Rad is the same, it could work out cheaper. I found a thread from PhatVR6, he had the slam panel problem you're talking about, but i'm sure i could get over that by making a different bracket up, there's plenty of holes and slots in the slam panel to fix it to. The good thing with the VR Rad is those twin fans, would be ideal for me but i just don't know if it would fit. There will be alot more room in there with the Rallye FMIC .......

    air/fuel gauge

    Yes there is ........
  22. Your fan should come via a thermoswitch which is fixed into the right hand end tank of your Radiator, as you look at it from the front into the engine bay. I think it should cut in at 90 degrees on the first speed, then if its getting hotter than it kicks into its second speed to try and suck the hot air out. If you have an owners manual it explains this and tells you that it cuts in when you've turned the engine off if its still hot. Sounds more than likely that your Temp guage is out to me, could be your Black Temp Sensor, which is located on your Rad hose just in front of the engine block. there are 2 sensors, one blue one which sendsthe engine temp to your ECU, and the black one that sends it to your Temp guage. Just unplug it, pull the little clip out, then put a new one in. Make sure the engine is cold before you do it, and if i were you i'd put a geniuine VW one in, they're only about a fiver or something. If its still the same it could be something behind your guage, theres something in there but i've no experience with that !!
