its got to be a good thing for us g60 owners i think, surely with all the g60 engines being put in golfs etc and the amount of high milage chargers being irrepairable and all the g60,s we now see breaking for spares there must be a fraction left of what was ever made

i bought a red 16v with door and quarter damage off e bay for £450 i could have repaired it but in all fairness they aint worth a great deal of money anymore unless they are in vgc with low miles i decided to break it made my money back and still got a load of it left and fitting second hand quarters really isnt ideal funk

i know in the body shop that i work most insurance companies put a limit of £900 on average claims and it dont take much to go over that seems really silly to me as ive seen some very nice cars wrote off for just wing damage like yours, when someone with a litttle knowledge could fix this for a few hundred quid and ive had 2 this week completly refused by insurance companies due to undeclared modifications hope it goes ok for you funk

surely it has to be a lot more cost effective to re build your vr6 motor im a big fan of 1.8t motors but there is a bit more expense than just the initial motor and if you then have to pay someone to install it all your going to have a £3-4k or even higher bill for a motor with not a lot more bhp than what you already got then adding the cost of higher insurance premium better to stick with the vr6 imo

i had the same problem of everybody wanting £75 for a second hand one i eventually used on off a seat which i got off a local scrappy £20 bargain :D
