i got a univeral one from gs&f and it seems ok, turned out that wasnt the problem after all but then with a c nothing is ever that easy. think it was about 30 quid funk

i keep reading up on this on the vortex website seems they all use aba cylinder heads where they available in this country and if so what model ? i know you can also use the new beetle heads anyone got any idea what engine code that would be ? many thanks funkster

it all depends on what the insurance company value the car at i repair smashs like this every day and from what ive seen its not a big repair,it wont need jigging for a rear panel and boot floor as long as the chassis legs have not been bent which is highly unlightly the only down side is vw panels are f+++in expensive making it all the more lightly it will be written off hth funky

running dangerously lean vince thinks fuel pump or injectors, ordered a new fuel pump hopefully its just that funky

im going to buy a new blue cts and lambda for my g60 are the ones from g & s ok or do they have to be from vw tia funky

why do you need the clocks and key ? funky

im toying with the idea of fitting a 20v turbo into my g60 there are so many types of this engine and im after some advice of course the 225bhp tt motor would be favourite but perhaps a little expensive are the 150 bhp 180 bhp motors tunable ? what engine management would be best ? tia funky

whilst fitting my new starter motor today when i removed the inter cooler pipes i noticed there was a fair bit of oil inside them, thought i better check the charger it was the same. its like a grey colour im sure its not the charger but the rocker cover breather and my question is - is this normal ? and the cause of this could be worn piston rings ? tia funky

are you sure the wiring connector is on the correct way ? after lubing mine and refitting in the dark :oops: i put mine on the wrong way and it made a very strange noise still worked though hth funky

i read somewhere its what vw connect to for engine diagnostics hth funky

if its the same as the ones i use they are very similar to an agle grinder with a foam pad, they are awesome and will remove scratches and blemishes that usually need respraying you do need to be careful with them though as someone said its quite easy to rub the paint right through on edges and they can generate enough heat to burn off the paint

not that i get much of my work done by garages but i would have said way over the top and i would be thinking even half that amount was still a little to high funky

it was an excellent day cheers for everybody who turned up and much respect to vince and the lads if only all car establishments where this good was quite a few surprises on the rollers, and corradovr6sc,s car awesome highest of they day felt a little sorry for surf when water leaking from his car then smoke from every where oops sitll got us 125 miles home no probs thouh looking forward to seeing some pics funky :D

there are still 2 places left and being as its mine and banana mans places the deposits have been paid so all you need to do is comfirm you will be there and pay a tenner on the day e mailing me asap if your interested. i have to pay for 15 people if they are there or not if i get no response ill try another forum thanks funky better pm me e mail not working
