I did the detailing today and i have to admit for the amount of time and effort involved its a bloody ace mod, big up supercharged junkie
-
Bunch a pissin hole in it  Big gaping hole , also Some bits of casing left at the bottom of the box

My water light is flashing but the tank is full and all is functioning as normal, is the sensor for this in the expansion tank and is it possible for it to go on the bum
-
Aye slick 50 is an absolute winner, my box was ace with it till it popped a hole in it
-
Anybody got any pics of this boost return set up on theur car??
-
Nah i dont think so i drove it home and it drove pretty sweet, if it has popped a hole in it then i know exactly wot it would be, i will keep the script updated

It deffo box oil i can tell this because i had a good looky at the big patch it left and it was smellin super bad, engine oil doesnt smell that bad, plus it was clear cos i just changed the box oil and i havent changed the lump oil for a while and its dirty. Can a hole be prepared?

My box just shat out all its oil, ive been having a lot of issues with it lately so i havent actually looked at it yet. Is there any common places where the rad box is known to leak? Cheers guys

not going to be a problem for you for too much longer tho  Very true rodders although im no sure how long its gonna take me to get all the neccessary bits together, you know wot im like :?

When my heater matrix went on the bum my drivers side rear footweel was soaking, has your car been needed topped up with coolant lately?

If you want it done in a day the best thing to do is to get some other hubs and get your new bearings pressed into them. Then all you have to do is swap the hubs over. im pretty sure corrado hubs are the same as 16v golf ones(16v and G60 are anyway). The only time consuming issues are splitting the track rod end and the main balljoint. Oh and sometimes the huge driveshaft bolt is well tight(dont forget to loosen that off while the car isnt jacked up  ) As long as you set some time aside for it, its not really that big a job

1.8 or 2.0 ?? (Different injection systems) 1.8-16v has K-Jetronic mechanical injection. Unlikely to have this sensor fitted. Problem more likely to be related to warm-up regulator (fitted to front of crankcase) or 5th (cold start) injector - fitted to inlet manifold. 2.0-16v may well have this sensor fitted - likely to be mounted in water pipework close to cylinder head. !.8 , gutted cos ive seen the price of the warn up regulator  was just checkin to see if it was anything on the cheaper side 8)

Is the 16 valve engine the same because my car is displaying the exact same symptoms here? if so where abouts is the wee bugger cos its been pissin me off for a while now
-
Righty o cheers guys, darren i think i may have to have that radiator off you, how much would you like for the wonderful thing?
-
Right all you G60 boys out there heres a quick question, im plannin doin a G60 transplant sometime soon so last night i was pricing up some general bits and i noticed that a G60 radiator is about twice the price of a 16 valve one. I just bought a brand new 16 valve one so can i use it?? wots the difference? Cheers Ross

Not true. Almost everything about a German style plate contravenes the current numberplate regulations; size, colour, material, reflectiveness, lack of BS-approval, missing manufacturere postcode. The regs (for anyone interested) are here : http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2001/20010561.htm#6 If you don't get stopped with them fitted to your car it's because they feds just can't be arsed to stop you for that, but if you are stopped for any other reason you can expect a vehicle defect notice (which means you effectively have to re-MOT the car) + a £30 fine to be added on top of anything else they hit you with. HTH, John I stand corrected
-
Dubmeister sell the plates, whit on the front and yellow at the back i think the spacing is almost legal as well but they are still pressed metal plates all german stylee, £40 good deal i rekon. I think the only real things the coppers can do you for is the fact that the plates arent reflective which is a requirement here

Mine just appears to do this on the overrun, not really fussed about it to be honest, its just a 1.8 16v. Its pretty gash cos my girlfriends nova does the same thing

The passat ones look like they would last longer due to them bein of a slightly different design to the corrado ones, But i had the mechs and the handles and there wa no bloody way the mechs were gonna fit in the corrado door, the latch that the handle uses to lock the door was actually stickin out of the door where the handle goes, i should take a pick eh
-
My drivers side door andle broke(shock) got one off a passat didnt fit got the catch off the passat it totallt didnt fit, wot gives i thought passat ones fit?? looks miles off Help
