Ive done this mod to mine and it fairly shifts where the power comes in, appears to do nothing till about 5k then its starts to shift on, probably worth havin a go at if you can find a cheap one

Another thing dude, what fuel are you using? My rad doesnt run for shite and wont start at all reasonably if i dont use optimax, just something else to try 8)

Aye totally, the 16 valveer need its nuts revved off for anything to happen, especially with the 50mm manifold. But seriously man go and mangle it round some corners, the grip these cars have is amazing, you will be like :shock: "this is the nuts"

Hey man any chance you could give me a wee description on how to fit the bonnet lifters, pics would be good to, ive had a look and i couldnt get mu head around it

Mine does this and its also just started to be a bit of a shit to start, im convinced that its my fuel pump cos its super noisy and recently its started to get less noisy so i think its dyin, could be causin all this crap, sound reasonable?

Passat one will be fine, same part number and i have a passat one on my rad after the previous owner snapped my cable and wound it back together with..........................................................GARDEN TWINE!!!! :shock: Its a crazy world we live in eh :|

My water light keeps coming on, the level is always just inbetween max and min and its deffinately pumping, ive tried changing the expansion tanks but that didnt appear to sort it, the car doesnt over heat and it runs like normal apart from not bein horribly keen to fire up in the mornin, its a 1.8 16 valve by the way Anyone got any ideas, as i say its not affecting the runnin of the car but drivin at night with a big red led flashin in my face is seriously hampering my enjoyment of my rad Cheers Ross

Im just about to embark on this conversion myself over winter, got everything together just gathering info at the mo so it all goes smoothly, will i be able to leave both pumps on the car or will i nee some G60 fuel lines to remove the undercar all together?

Is this true? i though all rads used the 2 pump set-up, please enlighten me

Im havin a bit of an issue runnin my bently manual in xp all the stuff at the top comes up but there isnt any content, any ideas guys?

Yep its above the 2 main rows, it actually clips onto the top of the fusebox so i just clipped it off and its still attached to the loom at the moment

When i took the G60 loom out of the donor car it had relay number 90 attached to it, does anyone know wot relay 90 does?? Ta Ross

Well i finally got round to it, i had the ring and gaiter in my possession for bloody ages but this is the finnished result, Before: After: Happy as larry :D

So check this out, ive got a complete 1.8 16v engine and box and ive got a complete G60 engine and box so which box should i use. Ive heard that the 16v box is a winner on the Gs so wot you rekon?
