They are slightly different the round light is green rather then orange but i quite like that as it matches the dials and seems a quality item. Yeah I never bother with dealers unless its fluids everything else is pretty much obselete.

Trust me it hurt me paying it ha. Amos in Derbyshire said he had couple but he never answers his phone and thought sod him just pay up the German his never going to be bothered to post it. It is an essential part to be fair the boot lid is awfull opening it without it and just going to put uneccesary pressure on surrounding fittings.

Still get a new one mate, VW Heritage can order one in from below link with cheap postage . I do have an old one but I reccomend getting new because of the issues with older switches. https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/schalter-2997eb.html

Here are the parts that Im having powder coated at the moment if this is a help. My car is on jacks and the engine is suspended on a beam. The red parts at the bottom of the pile are aftermarket Eibach anti roll bars and the X shaped brace is off an R129 but the rest are all stock parts. They were in better condition then I imagined but the rear subframe was in a very tatty condition and the bushes were absolutley perished. Had to cut out the old Koni shocks it was that eroded in that area (fitted in 2003) It will cost in the regoins of £400 to get them all powder coated but well woth it in my opinion. Im using a T4 one as the Corrado one is obselete so will be a lot longer so hopefully will just be the rubber I will need to cut. So an update on the push rod shock on the tailgate that was missing, I showed Vince at Stealth and he said an abscence would of caused the slit/damage in hot weather so all that have not got one on their car and do not want to have to go through the hassle of purchasing a none corrado seal there is a link below where you can purchase one, but only a couple left, some parts that make it up are still availble but the screw housing is impoosible to purchase, however found complete rod formation below for sale. The black square clip was an aftermerket part the last owner put in the drain hles to try and limit the damage as the tailgate acting like a chopper ha. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Corrado-D%C3%84MPFER-f-HECKKLAPPE-Aufsteller-VW-vr6-g60-16V-2-Tailgate-Suspension/163539875305?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

You need part number 021133988K + 021133990K x4 fuel hose clamps https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-MK2-Golf-GTI-Genuine-OEM-Fuel-Line-Clamp-For-PBs-Etc-Brand-NEW-Stock/281088543505?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 I got some recently sourced some from Germany ebay original new old parts . The VR6 passat ones look the same on OEMPEC but have a slighly difeerent part number last digit is J not K. The original Corrado ones are not available from VW Classics Germany but the Passat ones are, I have asked VW Heritage this and they should see if a set fits the Corrado as a fair few people would buy them if they fitted . Here is one them still availble. Its gone up in price since I purchased it as its the last one in the world ha ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Corrado-D%C3%84MPFER-f-HECKKLAPPE-Aufsteller-VW-vr6-g60-16V-2-Tailgate-Suspension/163539875305?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649#vi-ilComp I do still have my old ones but there is a bit of discolouration on the one pipe and I would rather keep them as spare parts Im afraid. Email these guys they might have both in stock, check first but they are showing as available if you do purchase them and they are not available they will refund you on paypal straight away they are a good company I order from . https://www.online-teile.com/volkswagen-ersatzteile/021133988K_Hose.html?language=en

Could always do something like re trim your cloth with a VW classic pattern. I think its fair game as the cloth on Corrado is not the best design pattern compared to other VW classic cloth patterns, rainbow pattern, plaid, recaro rallye, edition one also I think hound tooth pattern looks the business from a classic 911. Available https://www.vwheritage.com/corrado/corrado-interior/seats-&-seatbelts

The hose clamps fit on the hose that comes out of the reservoir and the two hoses that connect to the side of throttle body , I do have some original fuel hose clamps but they are nothing special just a mucky looking black from factory, the blue hose clamps are the ones most on show so they made a bit of effort with them from factory and they are a bright blue, or might signfy cooling. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-VW-Spring-Band-Clamp-N-10098701-/332256353105

This is the clip that is missing, it might well be a buffer to stop the tailgate chopping into the rubber. It is black not grey. Any idea of the part number anyone thank you.

Not sure as on close inspection I could see rubber molded to the tailgate from were the slit was , maybe something is off hock or the scorching summer we had been a black car melted it, I did notice there are two small grey square clips one either side of the bottom of the bootlid, one is also missing .
-
Realised today why the boot seal had a jagged cut in it. I was cleaning out the boot and noticed a large factory hole at the bottom of the tailgate , after further investigation on oempec I realised there was a whole shut stut missing. The bootlid itself had damaged the seal through a lack of boot spring.strut managed to source the parts Oh the joys of previous Rado owners !!! Grrr If anyone has a pictue in flesh how it should look that would be great. Picture of strut/spring housing.

It really is hit and miss body repair, if they are busy the quote can all most double and a lot of them do not do the prep/quality chemicals to insure the job lasts. Ive found a guy near Nuneaton and his a classic car specialist that is meant to be an expert at cutting out and welding so going to give him a bash, also was a lot cheaper then insurance specialists based in Birmingham. The front wing on my Merc needs doing to, I asked in the shop have you any available and they were yes over 600 in the main warehouse ha the first R129 was released in 89! Ive been told there was a HSE law change from oil based paint to water based in the 90s in Germany this did not help the life exspentancy of panels from this era , also a HSE ruling on cylinder lining using a different a different material that led to premature cylinder scoring especially on 911 966 .

No worries on that front Ill pm you once arrived and I check they fit, I believe they are saturn black Part number 357-867-169/B41

Good to hear mate , body work repairs are going to add up to a pretty penny but im leaving it as the last job. Went to Merc today to get some door card clips and serpentine belt, its unbeliavable what they carry in stock, VAG could learn a thing or two off their classics parts service, they even do a classic service at selected main dealers for cars older the 15 years at a reduced rate of £150 good for the old stamp book.
-
Dont worry Rob didnt cost much as ordered alongside other parts just PM your address might be a few weeks as ordered from Germany classics. Cheers.
-
Thanks Robrado, P.s I have some original high A pillar screw caps in black from Germany en route Rob Pm ill have a couple of spare if you need some . Also anyone with a spare fuse trim clip PM me and I can swop 2 a pliilar trim caps and 3 original blue hose clamps. Cheers.

I removed the spoonfed door foot trims today as tha adhesive tape needs replacing , I also have a bit of rust on the drivers side door footwell that needs attantion before I put them back on. Question fellow members, my drive is on a slope and parked with the engine facing downhill. When I open either door after it has rained is it normal for rain water to gush out of the drain hole on the bottom of the door , should this not be draining out without opening the door ? There is no signs of water leaks inside the cabin. Thank You.

When you say a blade what sort/tool thanks because I think there is a metal crimp section in the seal.
