  1. Other Brits have done the suitcase thing from Schimmel before. He's happy to FedEx them to where ever!
  2. I killed Lucy Beale. And then I logged on here to avoid watching myself doing it.
  3. Yeah they'll work......if you respray the car in "Audi A3/A4/A5/A6 TDI S-Line with the gunmetal wheel option ticked" white :D Actually they might suit the Rado.
  4. If you can't get at the DP flange bolts from underneath (you can on a ramp), you'll have to pull the front end, whip the intake off and do it that way.
  5. The downpipe diameter on the VR6 is quite small from memory, and I would stick to it personally. The torque usually suffers if you up the DP size. The Techtonics 2.5" dual borla system is bloody brilliant though. Ground sound and quality.
  6. Doesn't matter what you do with the exhaust at the Having said that, I've seen small Holsets on train engines that have small outlets which expand into at least a 4" diameter system. Keep in mind Holsets are cheap diesel engine turbos built for mega miles, so they're tough, but may not give the spool characteristics you're looking for.
  7. Thanks mate. Was looking into it last night and it's a bit more complicated with MK5s, so I will duck out of it for now.
  8. Is your supplier up for mixing and matching cars? If so, could be interested in a B12 Pro kit for MK5 GTI / Edition 30.
  9. Yeah why not? Dishonest, yes. Nice fresh glass with a 100% working heater element, yes. Win win :) My Corrado's rear screen had micro scratching on it from years of rear wiper scrubbing it. It was always visible in certain lights and irritated me a bit!
  10. Smash the window and get it replaced under your insurance's glass cover. Just say you were parked up in a layby and a passing HGV flicked up a stone.
  11. Yep they can refurbish them as well.
  12. Wicked crackle finish on the Shrek, good work!
  13. 16" speedos should have been standard issue on the VR6!
  14. Looks spot on to me! I'm going to have to be a roll center bore again and say Bilstein know what they're doing :)
  15. Their VRT demo car has needed a new radiator for over a year now. Vince just hasn't got the time / can't be arsed to fix it :D
  16. That is seriously impressive! UK cars should make similar numbers on V-Power as it's only 1 octane down. I can see a lot of RS Turbo owners retrofitting that engine :)
  17. Agree with Jim, but then I would also say that :)
  18. I thought the way you went about it was a bit odd to begin with, but I admire your staying power and you've done well to get it working as well as you have. Going 24V management isn't quitting, it will just make your life a bit easier and then you can channel your creativity into other areas and not worry about cam sensors etc! I think Koenigsegg 3D printed an entire turbo as one part! So the possibilities are endless!
  19. A few of them have been there for ages!
  20. Haha, OK I will try and make it with a dying clutch. Not risking shredding what's left of it on the dyno though, and being stranded there :D Nice one, glad you like it. I can totally see why you like it but for me the ride is defo too hard! Get it mapped mate. If mine's anything to go by, there'll be more torque and power everywhere, not just over a particular rev band! If it's factory approved, even better!
  21. That will actually be viable in the future when 3d printing gets cheaper and easier to use!
  22. Can't do that. Too little meat in the 2.8 block for 84mm pistons, especially with boost. The R32 block is a new casting. Throwing the whole towel in, or just half of it and going 24V management?
  23. On the AUE the problem is the cover for the short runner plenum. They've been known to blow apart with boost. The R32's intake is a lot stronger. Can take a bar of boost OK. You can just use a 3.2 crank with your 2.8 block and R32 head to get a 3.0, but you'd need custom pistons to get the deck height right. R32 crank has 5mm more throw. You might be better off just using the R32 head on your 2.8, but IIRC, the head bolts are different lengths and diameters between AUE and 3.2, so again, you might need custom bolts. I just remember having both engines to hand and came to the conclusion just using the whole 3.2 engine was easier!
