I guess you can pick up autosol in Halfords?
-
I was thinking about this too. Would brasso be any good... got some in the cupboard.

Depends on the age doesn't it the later 2.0 had wheels as above. Earlier had Estorils..?

Hhhhm I have eibachs with my koni t/a's very tempted to upgrade and get some H&R's the ride is bit to harsh with current springs, there are speed bumps everywhere here! Supposed to be a softer ride aren't they?
-
Thanks Gavin, Stealth it might have to be then... always wish I lived closer to that place or that there was something similar down here.

Hi does anybody use AMD in Bicester, Oxford for servicing their C. It looks like I am moving there in a couple of months and I want to find a decent place to service the C. Anybody have any opinions on AMD or have used them? Avg. cost for servicing etc. Or is there somewhere else local I should be looking at. Many thanks

If it is over the w/e you can park in loads of places for free. Most residential parking is just for mon-fri so sat and sun usually okay. Also depends where you are going to stay, if it is really central then less of a chance, I am in Camden borough and free over weekend, varies from place to place...

Damn, I have to move out of London!

Yep can still get touch up pens for C's, just pop into VW (under a fiver), I bought touch up pack last year you get paint and lacure in a pack. Cover scratch as a temporary measure anyway and to prevent rust, depends how bad it is. Might be worth saving some pennies and getting it into a bodyshop. I am still saving and waiting for some better weather before I do mine.

This could be a really interesting thread. I have spend well over £1000 in 6 months... but I see it more as a restoration project and trying to get the car how I want it (original and new looking). On servicing and up keep about £600 in 6 months - new engine mount, bearings etc. The rest is a new exhaust, mats, lights etc etc... I did exactly the same, the old depreciation line...

Yep Rondell's or RX, both look great.

Two headlights have just come up on ebay, might be worth keeping an eye on them and see how much they go for.

Ahh excellent, thanks you very much for that!! Was wondering if I had been duped. Glad to know its original. Like you say it is a very tight squeeze and gets in the way of the sponge at the top a bit. Many thanks.

Blue Storm seen on the IOW on Christmas Eve. I was driving behind you in Ryde.

Hi, bought a warning triangle from ebay that is apparently for a Corrado? I just want to confirm that it is definately original. Can somebody describe one for me/or upload a pic. Mine is called a Euro Warndreieck and made by Gebra as far as I can see and the type is a Trimatic. Made in Germany and I think the part number is Votex 000 093 055D. I know its a bit anorakish, but I want to know if I have been done out of money. I am not 100% convinced its original as it does't fit as snug as I would have thought. Also thought it would mention VW on it. Many thanks

I had that too, worth contacting them to get them to send it out. Mine was sent out but I received an empty envelope. Got it now.

Wow looks brand new, I've never seen such a shiny car, very 8) ! What polish you using? -
What's going on with this it has been down for ages now? Anyone have any ideas when this will be back? Maybe CF should consider a CCGB buyout/merger that way Sprinter gets loads of stories that they've always alsked for etc etc. Anybody know when it will be back?

Me too, would jump on an all reds wagon as well, wonder why they don't make them.

Many thanks for the comments and help. I currently have some black ones on, I think 7mm, will have to check through the paperwork later to see who made them. A friend of mine has offered me some blue ones that are 8mm, he paid about £60 for them from one of the shows bought with a friend and got a discount - apparently he said that they would retail for much more than this? Is it a case of thicker the better? Are these going to be better than my current ones? Also will they fit into the plastic clips. Anyway, he said he would find out the make of leads and get back to me. Cheers Dinkus, if it all goes to plan for you getting the car back etc, I feel like a vulture, but I would def. want to buy your catalyst, if somebody hasn't already put their name to it. Cheers,

Hi, does anybody know how long on average HT leads last/how long before they need replacing? Many thanks,
-
Hhhhhmmmm, keep us posted and put the pictures on here when you get them, all sounding very good. Sounds like your girlfriend is as keen as you are to get it as well! It took my girlfriend some time to come round to accepting the VR (maybe it was the amount of time I was spending with it), it was too low at first, but now she is used to it and loves it.

Wow!!!! Quickly before they change their mind!!! I got mine a K reg for £3000, 104k miles, plus I had to put it in for a service straight away and replace a few bits. The car above would go for at least over £4k if it is as good as described!!! Don't hang about. Is there anything dodgy about this car at all - how many owners, HPI clear? Seems very cheap. What colour is it? Yeah as Bally says, I would check it out very, very carefully using the "what to look out for guide" on here. Timing chain replacement is about £1k etc. Good luck
