I presume you're talking about the buying checklist posted by LeeW? There is a limit to how many threads we can sticky, otherwise it gets a bit silly if you have the whole top half of that forum filled with sticky threads (which usually people overlook anyway). Tell you what, seeing as though I'm bored, I'll try and sort out a definitive Corrado buying guide for you. How's that?

I haven't actually done the repair myself, but by all accounts it's more of a fiddly, annoying job than complex.
-
I know nothing about the conversion, but I know that people in the know quote around £5,000+ for the conversion!

Sorry Brian, I posted my reply before the whole of your message loaded so I missed most of it. I was just wondering what the price was for a set of 16's. The price isn't too bad considering they're 17's but you're still looking at over £1k once you have tyres. They would look good though, I imagine. Any pics with them on a car?
-
What are you talking about for, say a set of 16"?
-
Let's not start this one!

As Dazzy says, if you search for "headlight AND loom" you'll get plenty of threads. If we could keep the chat in one of the other threads, it makes it easier for future reference. Ta :)
-
Would be good for a separate Members Gallery thread though. I think it's good if each member has their own thread in there - good for reference and as a history of how the cars develop.

Don't get me wrong Steve, I think that a mandatory test for people once they reach a certain age, would be a superb idea. And at a regular interval thereafter. I don't think it should be a full driving test, but perhaps just a few basics like reaction times, general judgement of situations and a few basic manoevres. Old dodderers, who have no place behind a wheel, annoy me as much as the next person!

Very nice Cabby! Let's see some pics of the Corrado now :)
-
Exactly what I was saying Roddy! Bloody youth of today! ;)

Personally, I'd be basing it on how well off he is. If he's just about surviving on a pension and gets his shopping entirely from the Safeway Savers section then I think I'd just accept it as one of those things. I'd also fasten pillows to his doors :D If he's pretty well off, I'd either ask him for the money or pursue his insurance Company.

Bentley manual can be bought from Amazon.ca.
-
......until you come to claim, that is ;)
-
You were doing 100 in a 30?
-
Welcome to the forum! Sound like a man with a plan! :)
-
The time to read the manual, is once you've broken it! It's good to find out where you went wrong ;)
-
Do you get it chromed for the £82?! You can get the handle's for nearer £50 though.
-
Totally depends what you want out of it! Best thing is to go and drive a few of each version. It is very unlikely that you'll come across a Corrado that is just right first time, so go and get some experience about what they feel like and what to look for. Maybe there is someone off the forum that is close to you that could take you for a spin and show you the ropes, so to speak.

Nigel - you don't actually need a Cat by law. You need to pass the emissions tests, which granted, are pretty hard to pass without it.
-
Welcome to the forum! :) Edited your title from lift to life. Makes a bit more sense ;)

standard 0-60 times... mines weird but good!

Chris - either please don't create duplicate accounts or please ask your friends/family not to register just for a laugh. If they geniunely want an account, fair enough. -
Get the full value of the car and bit on top for your hassle! You're going to have to dispose (what a horrible word) or break the old car, spend money going round to look for a new car. You say that you're going to be without a car for a while etc. If book is just over £2k, I wouldn't be settling for anything less than £3k!
-
You don't need this thread then? http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewto ... highlight= No need to open new threads as we'll just move the old one for you. Keeps the forum tidier as well :) Ta
