How about we move this from the members gallery - might have more responses then ;)

Any objection to me locking this and putting it in Common questions, seeing as though it's now answered and not exactly a problem?
-
Can't you read the sign? Don't feed the troll! :)
-
As i've just said in the other thread, nice to have you on the forum :) Read a few of your things on the CGTI form - you don't take projects lightly, do you?
-
Wasn't you was it tt? Nice to have such an esteemed and knowledgable guest on the forums btw :)

Can we get a CF sticker in the shoot? Then we can quote: "The Corrado Forum. As seen on Top Gear!"

Some good points Alex. Just to emphasise though, that I wasn't attacking the CCGB for charging membership fees and I am sure that the club is more than just the AGM's and Sprinter mags - they were just two tangible examples that came to mind. My point was more towards how it would be difficult to merge the two groups in that they serve differrent purposes and have different setups; mainly due to the CCGB being an actual members club. Personally, I think that the best way to consolidate the Corrado owners would be the CCGB website as the front with links to documents and the forum, which could be used for all the discussion, meets, etc. That way, anyone that wants to join the formal club, could do and anyone, overseas members for example, simply looking for technical information etc could have easy access to it. Furthermore, it would be great to incorporate a club VR6 side of things as well, seeing as though they aren't technically under the ClubGTI banner :)

I'll put this in the common questions forum then :) Glad it's now sorted.

It's not a question of pride. The CCGB is an official club, with memberships, subscriptions, AGM's, EGM's, Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary etc etc. This forum has none of that. Do you want to have to pay to access the CCGB files section? If we were to merge, what would happen to the overseas members of the forum? Would they have to pay for membership? As far as I'm concerned, the club and the forum achieve different things. Personally, I have no interest in joining the official club as the forum caters for all my Corrado needs :) Some people might want to attend the AGM's and get the Sprinter magazine and if they do, they join the CCGB - Simple :) Keep the discussion sensible ;)

The kit that people prefer to choose at the moment, is the Vortech kit from the States. It can be had from UK sources but you'll be paying them commission on top of the normal price. Try: http://www.vf-engineering.com/specs/spec.html for some more info. If you search for 'supercharging' and 'VR6' on the forums, you will find some threads where it has been previously discussed.
-
I would have thought that members would have been notified/sent minutes of what was discussed and what decisions were reached. I'm going to have to close this just in case. The committee members might not like their club business openly discussed on the forum. If Supercharged, or any CCGB committee members would like to discuss it, please feel free to email me. Sorry.

You could strap a dead badger to each wiper arm and it would still be better than the original setup!!!

Might be useful... http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewto ... ght=passat

£31???

Thank you very much squire! Another possibility would be to have a feedback forum within the 'for sale' section, where each member creates a thread for comments about them.

Is the boot open, or is that a spoiler??!

You'd have to spend a fair wedge to get a G60 to 220! I think it's either had a lot of money spent on it, or the power claim is a tad optimistic.
-
Well I can see it and always have been able to. It is a tad on the large size though ;)

Sleep-thieving!

Your sig works fine Rob - welcome to the forum as well :)

If you're going to get two kits for dip and full beam, you may as well just spend a little bit more and get a superbly constructed loom from H100VW off these forums. If you ask him nicely though :) Or, as an alternative Ant (Banana Man) also does the looms but I'm not sure if his cater for dip and full beam. Good shout though on the cheaper alternative. Although, I am a firm believer that in general, you get what you pay for.

Good to hear, John! No problem if you're not at liberty to say, but will the new site loosely follow on Andi's progress? I thought that the site was coming along nicely.
