What I am about to say is purely based on fitting an after-market bee-sting so I don't know if it applies to the Corrado, but I expect so. The bit you are pointing at should just be a rubber/plastic base that the aerial sits in and is then bolted through from the inside, under the head-lining. The aerial should be ok - maybe stick a bit of black sillicon sealant in the crack to stop any moisture getting underneath - not really necessary though as it should be ok. Disclaimer: Any loss of aerial following VR6's advice is the responsiblity of the mug stupid enough to follow said advice! :)

I would have said that 'flat below 4k' was a bit harsh. I know that's where it is probably peaking but just under 3.5k and it really starts to pull.

Just to pretty much sum up what's been said above (not really adding anything of my own :)).... If the seller's description is accurate then you can't back out because you might turn up to pick the car up and it has a dent. You have had time to arrange a viewing before bidding. Well actually you can back out, but the seller can take legal action as you've agreed to purchase something. Different matter if it's been falsely advertised as 'immaculate' for example.

Roddy - do you mean the later handles as in the ones with the circular lip around the lock barrel? If so, I have an earlier one (no lip) on my drivers side (temporary measure) and the full closure still works.

Guy Hartley has just supercharged his 3.0l VR6 and is, from what I hear, very happy with the results. I don't think that the VR engine can take much re-boring though so I think 3.1 is about on the limits.
