i was told its 1mm extra on the bore , you can rebore a 2.8 to a 2.9 so as above the stroke is the same there are a few ancillary differences such as the TB

whats the mileage / condition/year of the car ? i dont think i would spend 3k on mine , i would probably just go and buy another and rape mine for spare parts ok theres no guarantee the new one wont die but if you spend 3k theres no guarantee your gearbox wont die next week with the value of these cars being so low they just cant sensibly warrant a big cash investment

They are really easy to fit ,i've done all three on mine and i doubt it took more than an hour

call vag and price the mounts , that seems ott to me if the mounts are fitted and are tightened up without the engine either being rocked or run to seat them correctly then they will work against each other and fail very quickly or pull on acceleration or braking

i would sell the c , the pug will cost less to run , diesel , insurance and will probably be more reliable the pug probably has better residuals than the corrado

well it definitely sounds like you made the right decision stan , nice one ..enjoy ! how did the insurance go ? or will you deal with that when it runs out ?

mine does this but not just when cold , i've put a new tensioner bearing in and a new belt , so i reckon its the alternator bearings or pas pump bearings
