Boot Light Disconnected-Would this affect alarm ultrasonics?

odd , i wouldnt of thought it would be related , the alarm would sense a voltage drop when the light comes on but not if the light isnt present , have you just removed the light itself ? or the plunger aswell ? it doesnt sound as though it thinks the boot is open so its not activating the ultrasonics why didnt you extend the boot light wires and relocate the light to somewhere more suitable ? -

the splitter doesnt look broken , i would take it off and put bigger washers behind the bolts , it maybe be fixable

DaveVR6, they help with stone chips but really they come from the states where they have bugs during the summer that are the size of cats n dogs , just saves the paint work -

iirc the overflow pipe from the expansion tank runs to the throttle body at the back middle of the engine , checkitsnot blocked/ leaking

triggermyson, i'm not really to sure if it was 2 weeks or 3 but it took an extra week because micha had just got a new glass beading machine and he asked if i minded waiting an extra week while he glass beaded it :-)

well the XXL throttle body makes the car feel much perkier than it did before so i'm happy with it :wink:

I just took the rear speakers out, the whole job took 10 mins from soft to hard :wink: Plus its easier to gauge how far you are turning them, so as to match either side. They are sensitinve tho 1 360 rotation makes loads of difference. I might back mine off a bit good idea the rears on mine are unplugged anyhoo :wink: -
its normal for them to get dirty where they are not cover by the HT lead plug but it does sound like you need a new rocker cover gasket , which is no biggy

gradeAfailure, i'll let you know mate , easy to fit and it started first time :-) theres no need to remove all the engine cover and plastic as it says in the knowledge base
