  1. I'd check with your insurance - if the valuation doesn't come from an authorised valuation company, recognised by your insurance company - it's likely to be a waste of paper.
  2. 8 degrees is too far advanced - retard it back to 7 degrees. Higher octane fuel = more advance. 98RON will pink at 8 degrees BTDC. Also get a new "knock sensor", it the car's pinking - this sensor is faulty. When the car starts to "pink" - the knock sensor should retard the timing automatically.
  3. Here you go - http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2340 Only skirts though - maybe somebody could photoshop an RS2 bumper onto the car ?
  4. Bobbywhacker, Just a thought - will the rear spoiler switch allow you to lower the spoiler in excess of maybe 60mph ? If it won't then I would say that the speed sensor & circuitry is working okay. If it will, then your fault lies either with the speed sensor, wiring to/from it or with the spoiler control unit.
  5. dubmad, The black sensor will not affect the running of the engine - it's just for the temp gauge. Which garage have you just got it back from ?
  6. I'm sure somebody else on here has Calibra sideskirts - can't remember who it is though.
  7. Smoked FK's look best on black Corrados - each to their own, I suppose
  8. Erm...not sure about that one - you need the ign switched on though.
  9. Visually - there's hardly any difference at all.. I can take some pictures of the Sachs "sporting" one on Monday if you like ?
  10. 303hound, Welcome to the forum m8 .. :D
  11. GSF part number is 93494A seal ring is 17953A Dead easy to change - just unplug the old one, take it out of the housing & do the reverse with the new one.
  12. Rustynuts, There is a minimum 12 month warranty on all parts that we sell - take your sensor back (with the invoice) & they'll give you a new one. Alternatively, send your faulty one to me & I'll send you a new one.
  13. These diagrams are for US spec G60's. They're the only ones that I have & I doubt the wiring would be much different for UK spec vehicles. Alternatively - http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20353
  14. If you decide to get a std VR6 clutch get the LUK - in standard form, it's slightly better quality than Sachs . We stock both types & also an uprated Sachs "sporting" clutch as well.
  15. My boss already does m8
  16. IMO - if an insurance company "agree" a value for the car, they increase the insurance premium that needs to be paid. Having accepted this extra money, they cannot then go back on their word & re-value it differently - for example, after an accident or theft. What's needed from the insurance company is a document stating their agreed value. This document will then be presentable as evidence, should it be required.
  17. Last time I saw a boot like that was in the back of a pikey's car ..
  18. gibber_2k, There is a company who I used to deal with called "Northern Assessors". They specialise in insurance valuations & many insurance companies use them to assess the value of accident damage. Most vehicle body repair shops will have details of either this company or a similar one.
  19. Not sure if the site will ever have a public forum, although possibly one just for members would be good. Somewhere to upload pics is a great idea. Someting to raise at the next meeting . :D
  20. I think there's a very specific reason that the video shows just the speedo & nothing else.
  21. MOT should be fun - I'll have to get mine done, once it's re-built - http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... highlight=
  22. blackcat16v, basically (as stated above), it looks like your valve oil seals have become brittle. This is caused by age & eventually happens to all cars. The remedy is to have the valve oil seals changed. It is possible to change them with the cylinder head still on the car, although it is better to remove the cylinder head & do the job properly. If your valve guides are also worn, the cylinder head will definitely need removing from the car. Rough costings are as stated above. The best & ultimately the cheapest way for this kind of work is to replace the cylinder head with a re-conditioned one.
  23. Too expensive for me m8 . Example - we retail 6PK1650 belts (Bosch, Dayco, Gates) for £9.80 + vat ..
  24. Pay me 1k each & I'll carry out an independant valuation of your cars ..
  25. :notworthy: WD40 :notworthy:
