  1. Don't use ours - they're shite
  2. Right - I thought you meant he'd removed the bolt & it was just the bush that was seized. I assume it's the rear bush which has the problem - the bolt hole fills with water from above & this will have rusted the bolt solid.
  3. Best I've had was indicated at 38mpg - steady 70mph on the motorway, 23mpg at steady 100mph on motorway. Overall, general driving average is approx 25-27mpg.
  4. I'm surprised that's the case - very little of the bushes actually contact the subframe (just the centre pins). Has he tried any other methods to remove the bush, other than just beating it with a hammer
  5. My thoughts Exactly The Mini and the TT are total girlie hairdressers cars I wont even start with Puntos and their Xenon headlights ! Chubbers
  6. I think the key is to seal the vacuum pipe outlets properly (I used diesel injector blanking plugs) & leave the fuel tank vent pipe open to atmosphere (tucked the end of mine into a hole in the inner wing )
  7. Trippy, This forum is for intended for people who are Corrado enthusiasts - not as an advertising medium for people who just want to make a "quick buck"
  8. I would never set foot in a Mini - out of principle - they're clap
  9. Here's my list :- Fit - 270 degree fast road cam, cam followers, valve seals, exhaust front pipe, big-end shells, red top injectors, front mount cooler. Polish & port - cylinder head, inlet manifold, throttle body, exhaust manifold. Supercharger re-con, SNS 5.5 chip Fit - custom front grille, RS front bumper, sideskirts. 8)
  10. Definitely :rambo: They didn't make much noticable difference low in the rev range but pulls like a train right round to the red-line now 8) Not cheap though - £10 each
  11. Same here - I replaced everything besides the main steering rack body. Poly bushes all round, new wheel bearings & new front wishbones too. Handled like a bag of shit until I took it to the bodyshop - laser 4 wheel alignment is the answer :thumbleft: Bottom ball joints & lower front wishbone rear bushes seem to wear the most.
  12. My mpg hasn't altered at all - I removed the boost return & fitted Bosch W5DPO (slightly colder than standard) plugs at the same time. What a boost in performance 8) I went to the CCGB meet at Longleat a few weeks ago & averaged :- 23mpg @ 100mph on the way there (20 mile section of the M5) 38mpg @ 70mph on the way home I'm using a breather filter on the ISV & the cam cover oil breather is vented to atmosphere (piped to the back of the front subframe) Oh - throttle response has improved too 8)
  13. Good point - would the AA cover me in the unlikely event that I breakdown on the way to LeMans next year ??
  14. exturbo2003, I'll give you a shout when I put my G60 back on the road in a couple of months or so.
  15. Unfortunately, I bank with the Halifax & they're replacing all their "Switch" cards with "Visa Electron" ones. These "Visa Electron" cards are accepted at far fewer establishments
  16. As with any sound equipment - the manufacturer is far less important than the speaker "distortion" measurement. The best speakers/amps are the ones with the lowest distortion levels. As Kev says - speaker cabinet design & connecting cables are also just as important as your speaker choice.
  17. Each to their own m8, I wouldn't fit one on my wheelbarrow
  18. Here's the story - As some of you are aware, I moved house a few months ago. 3 months ago I got around to informing my insurers - not a problem as I explained that I had only just moved. It took them 3 weeks to send me an updated policy with my new address. They explained that as Birmingham is a higher risk than Leeds, they wanted a further £108 in addition to my original premium. Quite understandable & so I offered to pay over the phone. They explained that they couldn't do this and I would have to send them a cheque. Within 2 days, I had posted them a cheque for the required amount. All sorted - or so I thought. I received a recorded delivery letter on Saturday morining (5 days ago), stating that I had 7 days to pay the extra premium or my insurance would be cancelled. Problem is that the letter was dated 8 days before !! As the letter had been sent recorded delivery - it had been sitting at the sorting office for just over a week. I had a card put through the door just over a week before & assumed it was a speeding ticket. I don't live very close to the sorting office & the first opportuinty I had to collect this letter was on Saturday morning. On Monday this week, I spoke to one of the directors of Chris Knott insurance & I explained the circumstances to him. He explained that they had not received my cheque - even though I personally posted it. He also explained that as the alleged 7 days notice from the date of the letter had expired, my insurance had been cancelled & he refused to reinstate it !! This comprehensive insurance policy still had 5 months remaining & although I will be getting a refund for the remainder of the policy, I expect this to be a disproportionate amount. One of their salesmen actually agreed that I had done nothing wrong & was not at fault in this situation !! I wouldn't give Chris Knott insurance the cheese off my d1ck  In fact - if they offered to insure my car free of charge for a year, I'd tell them where to shove it. The company director that I spoke to is a complete ringpiece, with absoloutely no man-management or customer skills whatsoever.
  19. Colways are crap because they're re-moulds
