Would it not be easier to just push the pinswitch with your finger. The easiest option by far is to get in the boot and close yourself in (this may require the assistance of a 'friend'). You will then be able to clearly see if the boot light is working or not.

Fan is controlled by an "ambient air temp sensor". This senses the air temp inside the engine bay & can activate the cooling fan for upto 20 minutes after the engine is switched off. Sensor is very small & mounted to a plate - just behind the Idle Stabilisation Valve on top of the cam cover.

Before I bought my G60, it had been stood in a garage for the best part of 4 years. So I had the entire braking system renewed (discs, pads, rear wheel bearings, brakefluid, etc.) Didn't have time to do it myself so I took it to the local garage. They appeared to do a fairly good job, with the exception of shagging my handbrake handle. They paid for a new handle & I was happy. 3 weeks later, I noticed my NSR wheel bearing was loose. I regreased & tightened it correctly but a month later it was loose again. I thought I had a duff bearing & so I renewed it. OSR was good with no problems at all - it was just the NSR which was having problems. This new bearing started to fail shortly afterwards so I fitted a new NSR stub axle, new rear discs, new rear wheel bearings & now I have no problems at all. This was all done over 18 months ago & the bearings are still going strong. 8)

I just never heard a rear wheel bearing squeak before - all the damaged ones I've ever listened to have a "rumbling" noise. If your wheel's wobbly & the bearings are squeaking, I'd say that they're just a bit loose. They may just need packing with fresh grease & re-tightening. Did your mechanic grease the bearings properly when he fitted them ?

Technically correct - although a very different type of supercharger to the G-Ladder that VW use. IMO - Kompressor badge on the back of a Corrado looks about as ridiculous as wearing a burberry cap while driving it
-
Yup - needs changing every 2 years
-
It's the position of the valve that is different in the G60 oil filter
-
Yeah - apart from the fact that it's chrome, different font & the car doesn't have a Kompressor fitted to it

Not sure on that one - Govenment usually add an extra tax on importing alcohol based products. That's why Mercedes now source all their screenwash in the UK, insted of importing the German (far superior) stuff.

Not sure why VW's have specified different seals - progress I suppose  One thing for certain - red ATF will eventually kill them though.
-
bighands, Don't bet on it being the wheel bearing - rear wheel bearings usually make a "rumbling" noise when they're knackered.
-
That is one seriously fat exhaust (standard is 2.5") Does it catch on the rear axle ??
-
General purpose grease will do fine - correctly adjusted bearings don't generate much heat.

KidDub, Welcome to the forum m8 & congratulations on your choice of engine
-
Not as much torque though  STD G60 has 165 ft/lb

Lowest setting on the Raceland stuff makes your bodywork sit on top of the tyres  I used to have them on my G60.

bad2vbone, Welcome to the forum m8 8) Oil temps of 124 degrees are not uncommon - your sensor may well be working correctly. MFA updates itself every few seconds - this is why it gives a different reading when you turn your engine back on.
-
I suspect the other will be an oil pressure sensor

Ohhh dear

Definitely at least 1 duff top mount - replace the pair & be sure to use new top mount bearings too (sold seperately).

VIBE 6x9's are unbeatable for the price. Very heavy though - you'll need to make a MDF parcel shelf  http://www.vibeaudio.co.uk/

We list only the valve kits for the Golf MK2 - not sure if they're the same as the Corrado ones ?? Our part number is 17855 £25.60 + vat

Had a similar problem on my old Scirocco - similar K-Jetronic mechanical injection. Car was misfiring at low revs but felt great higher up the rev range. Turned out to be the fuel distributor. I took it off, gently tapped it on my workbench & put it back on. I was lucky, the car ran fine after that. The Internal valves had been sticking a bit.
