  1. Magnex is a great system - I can fully recommend it. Fairly standard looking tailpipe & not too noisy - until you get above 3500rpm, then it gives what can best be described as a "ROAR". Had 1 fitted to mine about 5 months ago - very impressed.

    fuel filter

If damaged, this gauze filter could allow debris to move down the fuel lines & block the main fuel filter. Blocked fuel filter will cause lack of power. I would also check the operation of the secondary fuel pump inside the tank - it will have been submerged in petrol for the last 10 years !! When was the main filter last changed - should be changed at least every 2 years.
  3. No worries - not sure of price though (maybe around £30-£40). One of my friends owns a bodyshop & does mine free.. :D
  4. Vehicle bodyshops are fully equipped for this type of work. This test/adjustment is carried out on most of the cars which pass through their workshop. Have a look in your yellow pages - this is a geometrical check & virtually all bodyshops will be able to it for you Most general garages won't have the necessary equipment & neither will places like Kwik Fit, ATS, etc.
  5. Get a 4 wheel alignment check done straight away. Most vehicle body repairers can do this for you - called an "Optiflex". This will make sure that all 4 wheels are sitting correctly & that you have the correct castor/camber settings. This will highlight any geometry problems that you have - e.g. bent suspension arms, etc. Contrary to popular opinion, Tracking does not either cause or correct suspension geometry problems. It is merely an adjustment to make the front tyres wear evenly.

    fuel filter

There is a gauze type filter inside the fuel tank - rarely needs replacing, although maybe a good idea after approx 10 years.
  7. Extreme heat used during either copper or chrome plating will melt the plastic dials. Chrome effect can be done on plastic items with a process called "vacuum plating" See http://www.trimsport.co.uk
  8. I was wondering when that would happen.. :( Where abouts is it ?
  9. Do you have an address & phone number ?? I can then put them in the recommended garages section.
  10. Does anybody have an address & phone number for C&R ??
  11. Do you have an address for them ??

  18. Magnex exhausts are great - get a CAT bypass as well. Insurance - join the CCGB & try Chris Knott insurance http://www.corradoclub.co.uk/ BTW - welcome to Corrado ownership & the forum
  19. I was wondering that too. Smoked perspex covers or window tint film ??
  20. Could be something simple lilke a blown fuse - may need a bit more investigation. Cable shift may need adjusting. Many German cars pull slightly to the left - maybe worth checking the tyre pressures. Steering wheel is easy to centre, remove the centre nut & just reposition the wheel on the strg column. BTW - welcome to the forum..
  21. Come on then Struan - what have you done to it ?? I need to know..

    MFA resets itself

Sounds like you have a dodgy connection or bad earth somewhere
  23. Front bumper is not secured by the central 13mm bolts - only the 17mm outer ones. Sounds a bit strange when you look at it though !!
  24. Do not remove the central 13mm bolts (1 on each side) when removing the front bumper - the front x-member & engine will fall on you !!
