  1. yea saw a new M3 really giving it some off the lights the other day and the sound- oh yes!, looked like it hit about 50 in 1st gear, just kind of sounded like a metallic sound becoming a roar.
  2. something like 425 pounds of torque LOL, it's not just quick for a diesel, it's quick full stop, looking forward to seeing the in gear times.
  3. looks like a very well engineered car the 968 then.
  4. I've seen them run mid 14s that are N/A but most are in the 15s
  5. wow, I thought the new one was only 204bhp? hmm, makes you wonder what a remapped manual one will be capable of.
  6. got any pics of that RS2? I think there is one on my road. So do you think a 968 will be cheaper to run than an E36 EVO? And is it as quick?
  7. LMAO! :-P Apparently he got 1/4 mile down the road before crashing...........into a police car! :D My source...newsround. LOL.
  8. I see, all makes sense now. Cheers, yr a wealth of knowledge!
  9. Anyone know how the later- 03? spec got 20bhp more? Just a remap? :D :) :)
  10. Does it sap more power or something if the engine is Horizontal as opposed to vertical flat 6? :? Just thinking about why Porsche/BMW use this so much in there marketing
  11. I guess we could go on about the Jap Skylines/Supras but that would open a new can of worms ay!
  12. How does the 968 compare to the V8 928? I think I would go for an E36 EVO- It has so much going for it-Beautiful engine, stealth, interior, build quality.
  13. They are very hard to beat- If you think a nicely set up Ibiza K03S or Leon 225 will prob beat a CTR 0-60 and 1/4 mile but the CTR still tops out at 146 and thats as standard.
  14. Pointless doing the R32 conversion unless you go 4WD IMO- You would only be able to go WOT on perfect conditions in atleast first 3 hgears. V64MO is a good option as 2nd hand the engines are miles cheaper than the 1.8T, but if you want to mod loads get the 1.8T in there. The older V-tec has less over lap on the cams hence it feels a bit more punchy. Having driven a CTR it would be a close call- but then I got my
  15. get that xfkow on there and he will be sad he spent so much on the CTR! very good car tho if you are prepared to rag it. I wouldn't fancy racing one if it was a good driver.
  16. Mine is K reg black VR6, haven't kept it as clean as yours tho! but sometimes it's nice a bit dirty, doesn't attract so much scum. Unfortunatley I don't have Photoshop, will have to see if I can get it.
  17. I've definitley seen one in Orpington that is on here- a green n reg VR6 I think. There does seem to be quite a few in the area- or maybe I just always notice them since I bought mine. I tried putting a pic up of mine but I think it's over 150pix so couldn't do it, can you get round that? Will try and put one on the gallery.
  18. looks cool, will look out for you'r C now as I don't live that far away.
  19. ah if only we could take our VR's for a tune up and as if by a miracle- we will be hitting 60 in under 4 secs if his logic is anything to go by!
  20. OR 1.21 Jiggawatts, but the only sort of thing that can generate that kind of power is........ a bolt of loghtning! lol Have to agree with Dr mat, you'r car certainly hasn't the characteristics of a 16v, looks much more like an 8V Turbo/G60.
  21. any publicity is good publicity! hmm, I can get to guildford in 30mins...
  22. they will probably still ask you to sign! lol
  23. if it's advertised for that price, they have to sell it at that price, good on ya!
  24. Can you put the camera somewhere where we can see you driving and the speedo at the same time? and maybe one to see these lightning gear changes you are making, careful you don't break the gearbox! lol. On paper these figures don't add up, a CTR has 166bhp per tonne and takes 6.8 to 60.
  25. Slots A8 alloys look pretty cool although I haven't seen them in the flesh on a C yet.
