  1. I'm afraid they have just been sold mate, got snapped up over the weekend
  2. Weitec TX Coilovers, about 1000 miles before he blew the engine up, been standing since because he bought a mk4 475 delivered he wants. Can pm his number if you are interested.
  3. You can't make that assumption, but the fact that parts were found 100 yards away from the car suggests some speed was involved! Lol!
  4. A friend of mine had some weitecs for sale recently, I will find out some more info for you
  5. Change both of the sensors for piece of mind. Could be faulty clocks but sensors are more likely

    G60 low power

Change both switches for piece of mind, hopefully the duff pump hasn't damaged anything else
  7. Yep mine has all mods declared for £430 fully comp.
  8. I'm with Greenlight and they were cheaper than anyone from the off.
  9. Not for a G60, it's a replacement N75 valve for a turbo engine. Basically it opens the actuator a bit further than the stock N75 valve. The G60 uses the mechanical valve on the throttle body to control boost
  10. The twin piston Audi s2 calipers are still sliding calipers. I don't know of any factory vw calipers that are not sliding with 2 pistons. You need to think about 4piston calipers for fixed calipers
  11. http://www.dubgenerationclub.co.uk Give that a whirl and see what you think. Not sure if there is a meet tonight or next week, I've not been in a while
  12. no corrado exclusise meets here, but as Mic_vr says there are the dubgeneration meets every other thursday near wymondham which are pretty good in the summer. in excess of 50 cars on nice nights
  13. I would like to go, but unfortunatly my car does about 25mpg! So with the rising cost of fuel it would be an expensive ride out! Coupled with the fact I'm saving for a house, its tough to justify these little trips at the moment :-(
  14. Welcome aboard! G60 tuning basically comes in two parts, cheap and expensive! The cheap bit is the chip and pulley mod, the expensive bits are big valve head and bigger bottom end. So for 200bhp get a 68mm pulley and chip combined with a nice exhaust. Make sure the charger is in tip top condition and off you go!
  15. Cheers! I'm using the standard g60 box, just had a couple of the synchromeshes replaced a few years ago when the engine was out one of it's many times! The 1.8t is cracking in this situation. Dull as dish water in a mk4 golf, but fantastic when the leash is let off!
  16. the only plans I have at the moment are to get a couple of bits of bodywork tidied up where some rust has started to set in. As always though, I'm sure something will come up! Might change the heater matrix when I have a spare weekend!
  17. i'm running a 12" alpine type S (yes i've had it for a few years) in a box I cut down to fit better in the boot. nothing exciting and useless info, but you looked lonely on this thread!
  18. I thought it was about time that I made a members gallery! I've been on here ever since I bought my corrado, so a fair few years now! Originally it was a G60 in flash red. A few years ago I melted number 1 piston and so began my journey into the world of engines... I bought a 1.9 engine set up from gwerks, which was a complete heap of (very expensive) crap from day one! I didn't know anything about engines when I got that, and now everything I know has stemmed from all the problems I had. So I don't thank gwerks for the crap service and parts, but I can thank them for forcing me to learn a whole heap of interesting stuff (every cloud and all that..). So that was probably some time in 2005 I think. Later that year there was an incident with a deer on the A47 near home. This deer ran into my car at some speed and made a little bit of mess of my car... After getting a little bit of head scratching I decided to repair the car and got the bits together. Luckily it only done the bonnet, wing, bumper, slam panel, intercooler, battery and headlight. Not bad I thought. So I put a late front end on and got the rallye intercooler re-cored by Pace to my on spec and then it was into the spray booth... My friends and I built our own spray booth in a workshop and had painted a few cars in the there so mine was next. I decided to go for a colour change as I was fed up of red! So mystic blue it was. Its not the best job in the world to be honest, but it will do until I get it painted again possibly. After getting the car back on the road I still had a load of issues with the 1.9 engine, which lead to numerous trips to gwerks and loads of engine work at my expense. Eventually, after about 18months of issues I called it a day, took the G60 out and went to buy a 20VT. Putting the 20VT in was so easy, it took 2 weeks of a few evenings and a couple of days at the weekend. It could be done in a weekend I'm sure now. So here we are now and the 20V is the best mod I've ever done. I've been through a few sets of wheels and suspension set ups, but I'm really happy with how the car is now. I think that this engine suits the car perfectly and I'm really pleased with how the set is set at the moment. The smile factor is there every time I drive it! Thanks for looking. If anyone has any questions then fire away. I've done everything on this car myself so hopefully this will show that I have a little knowledge when I try and help other people out, I'm not just a keyboard mechanic! I must say that I've had plenty of help on the way though from my friends, and I've learnt an amazing amount from this forum cheers, Rob
  19. I think it's worth it. It pulls up the new posts (which is where I normally look anyway) without loading all the graphics from the normal site. Which means it loads up loads faster than using safari. Great for low signal areas (Norfolk as it's known!)
  20. I don't blame you being put off after driving a mk4, its not great. Thank god my 1.8t is nothing like that!
  21. mine is very hit and miss by the looks of it. pity really as this site is pretty difficult to load when the signal is weak, tapatalk solved that
  22. Ive got Tapatalk on my iPhone and use it to view this forum and others as it's much quicker than safari given the amount of content on the site. Anyhow, it's all been working fine up until a couple of days ago when it sai there were no new posts to show me. It works fine on another forum I use but not on this one now? Is anyone else experiencing the same? I've got the latest version from the app store but it's not winning. Any help, as always, will be greatly appreciated
  23. I don't think I will bother switching to emerald. I'm well chuffed with how my car is at the moment, it's how I think the Corrado should always have been. I don't drive it everyday so it always feels quick when I get back into it. I might look into the MBE potential of doing it though...
